I am having a ball, just sitting here and watching the slide show of Glenn St. Charles. There up top, where he belongs, are pics of a fella I would be too shy to approach, a guy who has done more for the modern archer than just about anyone I can think of. And the pics span a lifetime, and you can see the man in the fullness of his seasons. How wonderful!
And it is his birthday tomorrow.
Happy Birthday Glenn, and thank you!

Happy Birthday Glenn! Thanks Fred for the heads up.
Killdeer,
No need to be shy. If you get the chance you need to talk with him, a more friendly open person you will not find.
Happy Birthday Glenn.
Yep....that is pretty cool right there. :notworthy:
I had the honor of meeting and speaking with Mr. St. Charles myself. Had a heck of a time visiting with him, he even autographed his book for me before I left.
98 tomorrow that's crazy! It would be neat to meet the man for sure! Happy birthday Mr. St. Charles! Hope ya have a good'n with many more to come.
I was bear hunting near Prince George, BC a couple springs ago. A hunter in camp with us drove up from his home in Seattle. He made the mistake of telling me that years before when he didn't know much about archery he happenend to walk into an archery shop near his home. Yes Northwest Archery... I spent every evening the rest of the week asking about and hearing awesome stories about Glenn.... I tried last year to send him a Christmas/birthday card but think I was given an incorrect address.. If anyone has a correct address I would love to send Glen a card.

Happy Birthday Glen. I would love to shake your hand again at the Compton Rendezvous, but this time when you are age 100.

Here is Glenn in front of the Little Delta Cabin Display at the P&Y banquet in Denver this spring,
my son Owen and I had the honor of recreating this scene, and I can tell you Glenn was pretty jazzed about it.
heard some stories--probably untold--about this place, pretty cool

Happy Birthday Sir. Thanks for all you have done for Bowhunting.
My visit with this fine gentleman at the Northwest Archery shop home remains and always will be a highlight of my archery life.
Happy Birthday Glen, never met you but sure tip my hat to you!
Happy Birthday Glenn; it was always fun to shop at Northwest Archery, the "family business" were the people were friendly, prices were great and everyone was willing to help, anytime.
Although, I bought my first Bear Polar from Howard Valentine, the Bear Rep, Glenn sold me my first new Bear Kodiak in 1957 and my last new Grayling Bear TD and first Gainesville Bear TD.
I have enjoyed reading your books which are rich in wisdom, and memories. Have a Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year. Barry
Speechless in honor!
God bless,Mudd
I first started shopping at NW Archery in 1969. I did not know who Glenn St Charles was at the time but over the last 40 years I have become friends with Glenn and all the kids. I live about 15 minutes from where the shop was. A few weeks ago there was an opening of the " Archery Bistro" an eatery in the location of the old archery shop. Suzanne St Charles was nice enough to call and invite my wife and I to the grand opening. Several items from the old shop are displayed there along with a fine picture of Glenn. The party started at 5:30 pm and Glenn was still there at 10:00 pm ...
I spent many an afternoon in the shop visiting with Glenn, Joe, Jay, Linda and Suzanne and occasionally bought something. Happy Birthday Glenn and thank you for all the good times and your contribution to traditional archery.
Happy Birthday Glenn.
Happy Birthday Glenn, the last of our founder fathers, the giant of our sport.Thank you so much for everything you have done for us.

Bows on the little Delta will always be brilliant adventurous reading .

Happy Birthday Glenn, I applaud all that you have done for this wonderful pastime, and thank you again for teaching so many of us so many great things about archery. I also want to thank you for teaching Suzanne how to make fantastic arrows, from field arrows to the always fun Flu-Flu's. Again, birthday wishes to you Glenn.
Happy Birthday Glenn!

The man is a living legend.
Happy Birthday, Sir!
I hope someone directs Mr. St. Charles' attention to these greetings.
Sir I would like to extend to you my heartfelt gratitude for all you have taught us, and done for us as archers and bowhunters.
Happy birthday, and many happy returns.
Happy birthday to one of the Founding Fathers of traditional archery.
Happy Birthday Sir!

Teresa and I talked to Glenn St. Charles last evening and Rick Leibel, a bowhunter who lives near Glenn and checks on him regularly and helps him with all kinds of things, was coming to set things up so he could read all your comments and "Happy Birthdays". Glenn sends his "thank yous". He's an amazing man. He may be 98, but he's as sharp as he was at 48. gfa
