I have been looking for a Autumn Storm Long Bow by John Maus now for about 5 years. They are rarely seen for sale used which is a testament to his bows. Had to cull a good bow from the herd to get this, but it was worth it! He is a bowyer here in Michigan that you just don't hear much about. Quality, top notch-Maybe the best lines and workmanship I have seen yet in a custom longbow. It will happily digest a wide variety of wood, aluminum and carbon whilst delivering it with authority.
It has Bacote limb veneers with bamboo cores, a jeweled footed riser and the grip is like and old friend's handshake--SOLID! It is 62", 52#@28". The jeweling is unique to his bows and it adds a very nice look. Anyone looking for a top notch long bow should give John a call and demo one. He is a pleasure to speak with on the phone and very helpful via email.

VERY NICE!!!!! :saywhat:
wow! that is a beauty for sure
its a beauty!
That's a real beauty!!!
Heck, I'd let my mail lady tickle me too if she would bring me something like that!
Beautiful bow!
Woodchucker,
The elevated rest came on the bow when I bought it. I thought I would run a few arrows through it with it set up that way since all my bows I shoot off the shelf. To my surprise, I liked it. I think for now, I will leave the hoyt rest on there. Have not tried vanes off of it yet, may have to fletch a couple up and see.
Thanks guys for the kind words on this bow--It is easy on the eyes but it performs better than it looks!
Just beautiful! the wood combo & accent stripe definitely works.
Can you take a picture of the bow that shows the limb profile?
Sure can, it resembles the profile of my GN Fireball--It's not a D-Shaped bow.
Great looking bow. Your going to have to tell your mail lady to stop tickling you.
That is one incredible LB! The craftmanship in that Riser is amazing. I never cease to be humbled by the talent displayed on this site, from Pro Bowyer's to member's crafting their own gear. Congrats!
A beauty!
Thats a nice one!!!
That is a beauty,sweet!
Outstanding Bow! :clapper:
Very nice!!!!
Wow, Makes me want to show the one I got off TwoTimer that is all Osage and has turned that Harvest Gold color but good thing I don't know how to post pics cause you guys will need to get new keyboards due to all the slobber from drooling so much....Limbow when you discribed this to me I kind of thought you would Love it...Now promise you will never treat Her bad or abandon her or use fowl langauge around her...She sure is a looker and many men will love to have something that pretty standing next to them... :biglaugh:
His craftsmanship is unsurpassed. I owned a Banshee for awhile and only sold it 'cause it was just to small, (52"), to suit me. I'd like to find one like yours. I'd dump the Hoyt rest though. :archer:
That is one beautiful bow!
whew...gorgeous!
SSwwweeeeeet.
Stop making posts like this or I will go Broke even more than I already am. You guys need to pace posts like this.
Nice bow BTW
Whats that plastic thingy
That is one gorgeous bow. Incredible woods and the craftsmanship looks outstanding. Would like to see more pics please.
Great looking bow, Kevin. I'm glad you were able to find it after your long search.
Allan
Thanks Allan, I always enjoy the search!
I have had this bow now for almost two weeks. I have finally put it down long enough to take a few more pictures that some have you requested. I can't say enough good things about this bow. It is the Holy Grail of long bows, for me--And as most of you that know me, I have owned a few :) Here are the pics.

The elevated rest is here to stay-- I have shot it w/out and elevated rest as well but found it shot much better with the rest on there.

Nice stuff!! :)
Lot of wood craftsmenship involved in the details of that bow, very nice.
Thats a nice one kevin.I had the 60 inch Autumn storm and a real fancy 54 inch Banshee curve. The longbow was more plain but the Banshee had all the upgrades.I would like to try the 60 inch recurve someday. The craftsmanship is superb on those bows no doubt.Glad ya like it so much!
Very nice. :)
Really like the look of that riser and grip...beautiful wood!
wow that is one beautiful bow.
That's one purdy bow. I'm jealous. Enjoy your new bow, and good shooting to you.
Oneshot--
Your close so, I would be happy to share this happiness!! You to Steelhead!
If it had longer limbs.........ooops, she just smacked me.
Thats a beauty .
Stunning...love the lines of the bow and the Bocote is just gorgeous.
She sure is pretty, glad you are having fun with it, that is what it is all about.
Came across this Lone Wolf--It is the Autumn Storm Ultra CARBON model. Completely decked out with options! Gaboon ebony riser footed with watermarked tiger stripe maple. Ebony on the belly side of the limbs and tiger striped maple on the back. Four layers of bamboo insure this bow is buttery smooth. The limbs have a carbon layer as well. Man does this bow shoot! It is 60", and 63#@27". A bit stout for me to shoot repeatedly but a few arrows at a time is a joy.
