Lots of different ways.
Money orders and Pay Pal seams to be the most popular/common

Iv also had guys use personal checks or send cash.

i do not care for the extra fees on paypal but it is probably the quickest way to confirm a payment, although iv stopped using it.

Depends on the seller.  Some prefer a MO or paypal, and even others request Postal MO, just gotta ask them how they prefer payment

You can always ask for enough to cover paypal, and it's the safest way to do business.  You also have access to more customers if you use paypal, and you get your money right away.

It depends on whether I want my wife to know or not. Paypal if I want her to know and Money order if I don't. LOL Sad but true.  Ben

I usually let the buyer (or seller) determine the method, but find that paypal and money orders work the best for everyone.

I've accepted checks for most of my dealings here. I'm sure it'll catch up sooner or later but it's hard not trusting people. Usually mail what I sell before I get the check. Depends on when someone is headed to the post office.

I have used money orders or Paypal and add 3% for using Paypal.

Usually I'm not in a big hurry, so I'll just get certified funds from my bank, they don't charge anything on top, and mail it to the guys. Key is, I'm kinda at the mercy of the seller, but I haven't been burned yet (knock on cedar). I've bought 1 bow, several arrow sets, arrow equipt., quivers, and the list goes on without a hitch. Most of the guys now are setup with paypal as the above have indicated. It's quick and easy, and both parties are protected, just have to had 3.5% to your total.

I like to pay and get paid with a post office money order as I do not have paypal.  I have accepted personal checks.  I, too, usually send the item out before receiving payment.  Several folks did this for me when I first joined this great site and I really appreciated their trust.  I recently sold a 3 Rivers Dalaa and sent it out the day we made the deal because the gentleman needed it for deer season.  The money order arrived the day the bow arrived.  We were both pleased with the transaction and liked the respect and trust showed to each other.  Try it!

I usually use paypal when paying for an item and will add on the 3% fee whether the seller asks for it or not. I believe in giving them the agreed upon price, they don't need to eat the 3% paypal charges for handling the transaction.
Also use postal MO's a lot, mostly because I'm at the Post Office daily.(and not every seller or buyer has a PP account)
