Title: Tell me about your...Kempf Kwik Stik
Post by: buckster on December 12, 2009, 02:53:00 PM
I just spoke with Mr. Kemphf today, very nice gentleman.  He let me know that it was -30 in his neck of the woods in Canada, yikes!!

I have placed my name on his list for a new KWIK STIK, he advised that he currently has about a year wait time.

I have already seen the review by Pete Ward, but would also appreciate hearing more about the bows and your first-hand experiences with this bowyer.  Thanks in advance!

As a dealer for Jack all I can say its my most popular bow. Wish I could get the Stealth and his longbow is people's hands....all bows are smooth and fast.

I have 3 on order now for customers...thank God they already have bows to shoot. Jack is a loner and builds them one at a time.

My favorite bow in the whole wide world!     :clapper:

I've shot a bunch of differnt bows and FOR ME, nothing else compares to my KS's.

At 56", they're as smooth as any 60-64" bow I've ever drawn. My 63#'er was made 60@27 and I have a 28.5" draw and it's smooth as silk. Even all the way past my ear.

Forward riser makes it an extremely forgiving bow.

Speed is second to none.

Very quiet

I never fail to get comments at shoots about how fast and quiet they are.

Al;l around as good a bow as there is out there. And the fact that Jack is such a fine gentleman makes them even better!

I've killed a pile of critters with mine. First one63# was built in '97, second one,58# was built in 2007.

I'm a huge fan as you can tell, you won't be sorry!

I'm afraid I might be part of the problem that Jack's so busy now....I never pass up a chance to recommend a KS to anyone that will listen     :clapper:

I could keep going, but I'll stop.....

Wanna see some pix?

Kwyk-Styks are my #1 choice in hunting bows.I'm lucky enough to own 2 of them, a 56" and a 58" Tried many others before deciding on Jack's gems. What really impresses me is how, even on a not so great  shot, the arrow seems to find it mark [very forgiving for a high performance bow]. Very happy with my Styks but I have to admit Jack's Raven really peaked my interest. Now for the 'wait'  Barry. Good luck and take care Mo

Wow!  I've had mine 3 days that I received from Joe Skipp, and it is truly everything Curt said it would be.  Simply the smoothest bow I've ever shot.  Very forgiving, quiet, and accurate.  Get static limbs.

I have two Kwyk Styks and my hunting partner has a Kwyk Styk, Stealth, and Little Grizzly.....all great bows.  Jack is top notch.  I like the Kwyk Styk with static limbs versus the Stealth or regular recurve limbs but not by much.  All quality bows.

Just what I expected!! Yea, it will be a long wait, but that is just part and parcel for a quality custom bow, ya can't rush masters at work.

Curt, YES SIR, pics would be most apreciated!!

Sounds like everyone is recommending static tips. I'm not too familar with this concept??

If it's easier for anyone wanting to share pics, my email is buck@mid-southdealers.com. But I'm sure others would love to view them too.

I knew it was foolish to expect a Lefty to show up on the classifieds, so I went ahead and pulled the trigger today.

Just trade for a KS for my dad and he loves it. Shoots smooth and fast like everyone else has already stated.

He is already itching to get it out hunting.
