Does anyone have any photos of some honey locust limbs that they could post for a peek?
I'm considering using it for a bow limb purchase. Thanks....Peace
Go to the Howard Hill web site. It has a descent picture of the "Cougar" which has honey locust limb venners. They are beautiful.
I recently built a pair of bows, both with zebrawood backs. One, Big Bad Wolf I, had a locust belly, the other, Big Bad Wolf II had walnut belly. I pictured them together in my gallery, so you get both, but at least here's one locust lam for you to look at. The bow is great, and I took my first game animal, a javelina, with it in October. I have more locust and plan to do a bow with it on both sides.

Homegrown missouri honeylocust:
The pics don't even begin to do the limbs justice.

Dick, you sure those aren't black locust instead of honey locust?
go on KennyM's website. I'm pretty sure he's got some pics.
Thanks for the replies so far fellas. I appreciate it. I've been told that honey locust "darkens" over time the same way that osage looks better after several years.
Would you all agree or not?
Irish Archer,
They are brothers in the tree world, I would expect them to follow the same pattern. Definitely go to KennyM's website. He has some pictures posted of some gorgeous Honey Locust lams/veneers.

Bill,
Thanks. Went to Kennys site. Awesome woods. How about that Moradillo? Beautiful.
The honey locust just isn't going to be dark enough for me.
I called Craig Ekin and placed my order today.
