I am looking at getting one of these and just curious what mounting options there are. Can you only mount them with the side inserts in your bow or are they other non screw on options out there?
Thanks,
Tim
AMS do a tape-on/rubber strap-on gadget adapter that works very well. It's a little spendy for what it is though & you can make up something smilar very quickly yourself.
Thanks Rob! Is this the adapter your refering to?

Before I dedicated an old bow for the reel I had good luck with zip ties and tape. It does work better with the inserts though. I have seen the adapter robtattoo is talking about, I bet it will work well too!
Thats the bracket I have seen Tim. Strap it on and bolt the reel to it.

I don't think a one-hole bracket adaptor will work very well. The entire set-up will slip/move around when you attempt to reel in line. A two screw moun, such as those used to secure a quickie quiver, provide a secure, solid mount. That being said, I have managed to get a pretty solid mount using a lot of duct tape, first putting protective foam between the riser and the metal mounting bracket. The adaptors are much better suited for a reel seat and large closed faced spin-cast reel. Good luck.

Yep, that's the feller. If you can get a hold of a strip of mild steel measuring 1"x6"x1/16"thick you canmake tour own in about 10 minutes. The only other things you'll need are a drill, a couple of bolts & some tape.
Rob, I work in a machine shop so making one should be no problem at all. Thanks for all your help!
I have the AMS retriever reel and their strap on adapter. They are great products! The reel is amazing, how it can pack the line in the bottle and NEVER get tangled up. The adapter is a nice, easy mounting system for any bow, and no worries about marring up the finish, or tape residue.
second that motion on the ams with adapter.
Awesome thanks guys!
I just screwed mine to a old 45# bow that I dedicated for shooting fish. Its an old shakespear. Worked for me.

Oops. Didn't look at the picture close enough. At least one of those adaptor mountingbrackets has three holes in it. That should work fine. But, you already have the problem solved anyway.
