We do not have any snow but the wind is blowing about 50mph here in NC.... No way I am climbing in a tree this afternoon. Anybody have any good pictures? My kids are dying to see some snow.
Blew in about 4 inches last night. No pics though, no camera.
Here you go, it's snowing now and the wind is about 40 mph

We have some but it is snowing and windy right now. If the weather man is correct we should have a few more inches by tomorrow morning.
Measured a tad over 16" in the backyard this am. I have no idea how much we actually got. It is blowing past sideways lately. Not very happy with the snow plow dude who made even more work for me. I guess I should be thankful he is out plowing so that I can drive my car.

"Who dosn't have snow" would be quicker!
I just got done blowing snow out of my driveways. You can have it! We have 6 to 10 inches (not sure because the wind is blowing it around so much) and -30 wind chill. It's shotgun season here, I pity those poor souls. I'm glad I've already got one in the freezer. I put venison and potatoes in the crock pot this morning, so supper will be ready when I am!
Sorry, I don't have any pictures.

Dang it! I hit the wrong button...just wanted to edit the I'v :knothead:
Just got about 12 maybe 14 inches!
:readit: :D This one left us with marginal sleddin' snow.Good trackin snow for this weekend though.
The only snow we have comes from Colombia...temps are dipping down to 69 tomorrow morning and will be back up to 85 by mid-day.
Your kidding right?
No I'm not we've only had 2 days in the 40's the rest haven't dipped below 80. I miss the snow...send some down.
Here in central Kansas we got 5-8inchs and 20-30mph winds and hight today was 12F and low -2F tonight. Bared my truck in the drive today after the wind picked up and drifted the snow 3'
Only a couple inches up here in Manitoba but -40......Brrrrrrr!
Have we got snow! I'm in Flagstaff, Arizona. We had a blizzard that came in Monday. Worst I've seen in the ten years we've lived here. Had lightning during it; never saw that before. Power went out and didn't get restored until the next morning. My applause to the crews that go out and restore power.
Monday night, they shut down the interstate. People were going off the road, rigs jacknifing all over the place. They stopped plowing the roads that night. The blizzard was just too strong. It's Wednsday and many roads are still not plowed. Still plenty of patches of packed snow on Interstate 40 through Flagstaff. The interchange of I-40 Westbound and I-17 North and South is a solid sheet of ice.
The paper said this was the worst blizzard in over a decade. I believe it, too. I had two and a half feet of snow in front of my Jeep Cherokee 4WD. Cleared a foot from in front, put it in 4-hi, punched it, and blasted through to get out. Nothing beats an older Jeep Cherokee in the snow.
Oh, and the best snow boots are the knee-high lace up Goretex lined snake boots from Cabela's. The actual Cabela's brand name ones. The same fabric that keeps snake fangs from penetrating keeps ice from cutting through and letting in moisture. Your feet stay nice and warm and dry, and the high laces keep the snow out of your boots. Been using these boots for three years now.
Just came in from clearing snow off the driveway... drifted all around due to the high winds we had. Getting down to less than zero tonight in NE Ks.. Bit too cold for hunting for this set of old bones...

It was -17 deg when I left for work this morning. Current temp is 3 deg we are having a heat wave. I think the high today may have been 5 deg. Supposed to warm up this weekend.
We got about 15" yesterday and it was -11 F this morning. Winter starts in a week and a half.
We've just gotten hammered the last couple days in eastern NE. I'm guessing 8" on the ground, drifts a lot deeper as we had very strong winds last night. I know that I'm sore from scooping today (our second 'snow day' in a row). I'm too traditional, apparently, to get a snowblower. Dumb me.

Yea that's it I'm Traditional (not cheap) been in CO for over 30 years and never owned a snowblower!
About 8 inches on the ground here. Today was not cold, and it came down wet and heavy.
Wind is picking up, carrying in cold temps.
Winter has arrived.
If I could send some snow to everyone who wants it I would...almost all of it. I would keep enough for hunting till the end of the season for deer, and leave two inches to make the `yotes easier to see. :D
About 8-10 inches, but hard to tell, cause of the high winds, and drifting snow.
-35C (and that is WITHOUT factoring in windchill)
Coyote hunting, anyone?
Maryland, the part next to DC, got 3" or so the other day. I'm glad it's gone already. As for the rain I could use a canoe to get out into my woods and there is not a creek, pond, lake, or any other kind of water around. Haven't seen this much rain in a while. Did I mention I hate the snow?
Fred...
Had snow last night but it all melted. Very high winds blowing right now :scared: Colder temps tomorrow.
Rick P I hear you. What's snow????
We got 6 inches of snow in Sunny Northeastern California an -10 this morning.
We had snow, last Friday, but come on I live in Houston, Texas. It was gone the next day.
Paper said the Highway Patrol had 449 slide-offs, 109 wrecks and 3000 calls for service. Felt like more! Still had "fun" out there today,

We got a little snow here and had some minus 17 temp without windchill... Made it above zero today but the wind is making it bad!
Happy hunting,
Jason
:wavey:
Just enough to Remind Me What Time of Year it Is!! :archer:
Canon city Co has about 5" and -2. I'm headed to my white tail tree stand this weekend,,, (must be nuts) but trad people are like that..

It gets much above 75 I start looking for a glacier to sit on! You have my sympathy and I'll do my best snow dance for ya, don't laugh last time Homer AK got 3 feet after my jig!.....
PS Your welcome Dave.
I know Monday, Coconino county sheriff was warning off elk hunters from heading out. Turns out today, search and rescue are looking for 30 of them either missing or stranded. One was killed by a blown over tree down in Camp Verde.
It was about 70 and sunny here in Alabama yesterday. It is going to cool off today with cold front, it will get up to only about 50.
I live in Central Texas. My daughter has never seen snow.
Except in pictures.
It was eight degrees last night here in Utah and we are wading through snow. The mountains are covered and looking good, except the part that I couldn't find an elk yesterday!
