My mom and step dad just moved to Mexico below the Dam of Agua Milpa lake near Tepic, Mexico which is in some mountains near the west coast. North of Puerto Vallarta and northwest of Gaudalajara about 3 hours. Anything to hunt there?
you can hunt turkeys in the Huicholes area, huicholes are indian of the zone, the bowhunt in Mexico only in UMAS, uma is a name of legal cinegetic ranch, in Mexico only can hunt in umas.

UMAS is a way of protecting land from poachers, the owner of the land gets some paperwork and they give him the permit to hunt and then you talk to him to go hunting. So our hunting permits are bought or given from the owners of the land.
Tepic is in the state of Nayarit , and I know they have turkeys and some subspecie of whitetail which i don't remember the correct name
