Hey everyone. New guy with a question about arrow spine.
I have a lighter bow that I'm practicing on, and then going to move up the weight once I get basic form down. I'm practicing around 40#, and have another bow that is 50#. According to Gold Tips arrow selector chart, they recommend two diffent arrows for these weights. A 3555 (.500" spine)for the 40# bow at my length and draw. And a 5575 (.400" spine) for the 50# bow. I'd like to just buy one set of arrows. Would I be ok just getting the 5575's and shooting them out of both bows? Or do I need to just get both sizes according to their chart? I realize I shouldn't shoot the 3555's out of the 50# bow, but what about shooting the 5575's out of the 40# bow. Any help or recommendations is greatly appreciated.
Well, you could but your arrows would hit about a foot to the left of where you are looking for a righty I think ? I am a lefty. The 55/75's would be way, way, too stiff for you in spine. You need arrows matched to the bow. You should bareshaft to get things matched correctly.

Go with the 35/55's for both bows. You can make adjustments to the point wt and lenght to get them to fly good out of both bows.
35/55 will work with both bows, just takes a little effort.
ended up getting a dozen 3555's. I'll cut them just long enough to use broadheads. thanks for your suggestions.

If you had asked that question w/o the comment about the chart. I would have told you you need .600 for the 40 LB bow and .500 for the 50. That is unless your draw lenght is over 30. Go with the .500.
