A wood bow, wooden arrows, a b-50 string, good back quiver, a stout double edge file sharpened broadhead, lots of hours practice, scouting, hunting on the ground. Not the surest way to put meat in the freezer but ain't it fun? And then, after all, hunting the hard way is all about possibilities.
People have been doing it for hundreds/thousands of years. Good for you, have fun and enjoy.
That is exactly what it is about. The effort and lifestyle are why we trad hunt. Making a kill and having meat in the freezer are just a bonus.
you bet,
and there are not many animals that have walked this earth that have not fallen the the old stick and string, in the right hands its a deadly very effective hunting tool.
sky's the limit
If you ever get a chance to read an issue of the old "Alaska Bowman" magazine (there are only three issues printed), it might have been Doug Borland that wrote a piece entitled "Possibilities". A great story, and exactly what you're referring to. Enjoy the journey...
