Just a thought for you if you live ware it snows and gets cold remember carpet will hold melted snow and will freeze, which is ice, rubber soles on ice make for injury.and the carpet wont absorb the sound when your screaming from the fall.

Why?  I love mine the way it is and I have some stands with carpet.  Carpeted stands is ok sometimes because they don't drop mud from my boots, but other than that I am not a big fan.  As soon as cold weather comes they get slick.  Plus the squirrels and coons love to lounge on them.  That is a mess.

I just use a pc. of rubber drawer liner on all my stands. Stays in place on its own, when I leave I just roll it up and tuck it behind the seat so it won't get wet and freeze. Really quiets down that mesh.

I tied a piece of carpet to the foot platform of my climber.  Keeps my feet noticably warmer and it's quieter when I stand up or shift around.

I don't think it would be a good idea for a permanent stand though, for reasons others have already mentioned.

Lone wolf is the ONLY stand I have used that doesnt creak in the cold weather of Michigan. Its by far the quietest platform in the industry. I cant fathom why you would want to put carpet on it? Let us know your concerns, Im sure somebody has a better answer then why would you want to do that. 8^)

Kenn, I have just always put carpet on most of my platforms. I guess I will just leave this how it is. I am a little comcerned about ANY noise from moving you feet on the platform if they are REALLY close.   BILL

I wouldn't. Noise is not an issue with Lone Wolfs as long as you don't drag your feet.

I like carpet on my stands. I carpet them all. But Utah has an early hunt compared to most of you guys. We're done by the middle of Sept. I like the way it muffles stuff and keeps stuff from rolling as much. Gary

I covered a piece of 1/2" thick foam with camo cloth and then sewed a strap on it so I can carry it to and from the stand. Keeps my feet a lot warmer and is dead quiet.
