hey guys i need help on silencers for a recurve i want string silencers that are about 7" long and are about 1" diameter you know like really big river otter silencers but are wool or what do you use. where can i get them or how do i make them thanks guys and god bless
You want the silencers to each cover 7" of the string?? That's a heck of a lot of weight to add to the string w/o much added benefit.
Just use some beaver balls. they work great.
thanks but it is a short bow and i really want them to cover 7" of the string
Never heard of this...it must be a really loud bow!
Is this for a recurve to quiet down the string slap? yarn works well for that.
You'll probably need 9-10" strips of fur to get that length. I have some I can cut to that length, but wow!
How about bowhush? I use it on a short recurve and love it.
Kris
jeremy ill take u up on that offer wht kind of fur and how much would that cost me for you to do that
sent you a PM with some info.
Go with the Hush Puppies from Terry Green and your hunt for the best will be over ;)
Nothing makes a hunter happier than a good set of Beaver Balls.
I recently put a couple bowhush and hush puppies on my recurve and WOW what a difference that made. Best couple of bucks I have spent in a while. Bow is super quiet now !
I prefer the Sims string leeches
