I'm trying to decide if I want a "D" style longbow (who am I kidding of course I want one) :knothead: . I've asked about other bows in past threads so I'm really only looking for info on the Apex Predator Cumberland model.
I'm trying to decide if I want a 64" or 66"...I draw to 29.5". I've shot a few 64's in the past and one 66" at Denton and they all seemed nice and very smooth. 66" would be long without a hinge, as I travel a lot to hunt at my parents place.
I have others on the list and have read many reviews about them but this bow is one I'm really excited about.
If you've played around or own one let me know what you think...please feel free to post some photos.
Thanks,
Josh
I have one and i love it and if i can sell one of my other bows im ordering another one. With your draw length i would get a 66" thats what i have and i have a shorter draw that you. A 66 travels just as good as a 64" and i think youll be glad you did.pm me for more details if you like
That is a good point about the length...an extra 2" is going to make much of a difference unless I have the whole family with me.
Josh
I recommend 66" as well. Marty makes a fine bow. You will be happy with one.RC
I do not have one (would like one) but I would go with the 66" also!

I have seen Dennis Rice's bow and it is very nice. Couldn't shoot it much cause the shelf is on the wrong side. I have a 30" draw and I would do a 66" if not a 68" in a D-bow.
I have one of Marty's bows and let me tell you, it is a real shooter! My advise is to give Marty a call and he can answer all your questions. He is a great guy to deal and talk with.
I can't wait to late February/early March! It is going to be a looker!
Wenge/Osage riser with Figured Cherry limbs...66".

I think you will be very happy come late Feb/early March. No I don't own one but I have followed Marty's work very closely on Bowyers bench. He creates some beautiful bows and yours sounds like a great combination.
Take care,
Ed
