Title: I need a good bow mounted quiver for my recurve
Post by: RunsUpRiver on November 30, 2009, 03:26:00 AM
Howdy!

I need to find a good bow mounted quiver for my recurve and was hoping to hear some suggestions.

I only need 3 arrows, but could do with 5 or so.

This would be for turkey/ deer hunting.

Just wondering what people are using and approx cost.

I am trying to carry less stuff, and a back quiver for just 3 arrows seems a little much

Thanks!

Dean

ThunderHorn Small fry boa. Eagles flight makes a good one two.

I like my 3 arrow Eagles Flight but suggest you look at the 4 arrow model. If I recall correctly, the 3 arrow is around $45 and the 4 arrow maybe $55. With the 4 arrow, you can carry 3 broadhead-tipped arrows and a Hex blunt or field point. Both quivers are very light and stay in place well.

I love my Kanati strap-on. Light, stable, and quiet.

I own 2 eagles flight quivers. Can't say enough good or any bad about them. Check out their web site. They have a much bigger selection than any one else.

KANATI STRAP ON, if you want a rock solid  attachment system and a great looking leather hood.
OR
If you want that same rock solid attachment system with a hood that is made to match the woods in your bow.You could consider one of our ZIPPER WOODIE QUIVERS.You can see them on our website. There are lots of good quivers out there, and most of there makers are sponsors of this site.

Currently use a Selway Soft Coat Slide On $58 from the Nocking Point. I have used strap and bolt on from GN and the Eagles Flight. As mentioned above they are all good.

Thanks for the input.

Today I saw a very, very simple slide on two piecer on a recurve. Looks like it was jsut two pieces of rubber, and held 4 arrows, but no cover. Still, it looked very simple. Anyone know the super cheap, super simple one's?

Very interesting info. I'm going to look up 2 Eagles.

You saw the Kwikee Kwiver- old style without the cover. Don't buy one. You must have a cover over your broadheads. If you were going to use blunts you could get by with it. Kwikee makes a 4 arrow where you snap a cover to the fourth arrow. My problem with the Eagles Flight 3 arrow is the small cover. You want to make sure broadheads are well covered if you plan to hunt.

We show our appreciation to fellow Tradgangers by giving them free shipping (domestically). From now through Chrismas, for each Eagle's Flight Archery quiver order, we will also include a free cordovan or calf hair tab. However, you must mention your Tradgang Member # and let us know whether 3 under or split fingers. Thanks.   :clapper:

If you want a five-arrow model, Great Northerns are an excellent choice. I've been using the same one for several years with absolutely no complaints.

I bought one of these last week and it works pretty good.
http://www.3riversarchery.com/AMS+Bowfishing+Traditional+Mount+Adapter_i5548_baseitem.html
It's tapped for a Kwikee Kwiver so a three arrow Kwikee will slide right on,and what I like about it is,when you get in your treestand or blind the Kwikee will slide right off. I have another Kwikee mount on my climber and I just slide the quiver on it while hunting. It's quiet and solid as a rock.

The NC fellas make fine quivers. The kanati by Annewakee and the EFA are both fine Quivers. You won't be dissapointed with either one.I have a Kanati quiver but i have tabs, arrow rests, and other accessories from EFA and they are all top notch. Both are fine fellas to deal with so i'd look em over and decide for myself.
