Does anyone know or remember who posted pics of the new 3 pc Zebrawood Pronghorn eariler this year.
It was a beautiful bow, and I'd like to see the pics again.
I did a search, but didn't find the particular bow I am interested in.
Thanks, Billy
What bow are you looking for billy?
Billy,
I sent pics of the Zebrawood LB via email. Ken
Randy,
It was a new 3pc Pronghorn longbow (Zebrawood) someone received eariler this year and posted pics of the bow. The limb veneers were the most stunning I've ever seen.
kluzakd....I got your email but the 1st pic won't open. Please resend it.
Billy's looking for a pronghorn... :bigsmyl:
I remember the thread yes. That was a beautiful bow. I believe that was Larry L. Langford JR bow. He goes by artifaker1 on here.
I have an osage bamboo bow and a foam core I can post pics of if that will help you.
I just purchased a 3pc take down from Bob“s Archery that should be here next week. It is 62" 56 lbs @ 28 with a diamond wood riser and zebra wood veneers. I will post pictures of it as soon as it comes in the mail. It will be my first Pronghorn bow.
Tom, You know you shouldn't be taking advantage of Billy like that. Do you PM him and put in your order every now and then? LOL Ben
It was artifaker1. Ken
I had an all bocote Pronghorn built recently and it is stunning. My brother had a zebra wood done this summer and I haven't seen it yet, but he claims it is the best looking bow he has ever seen. He had a tulipwood Pronghorn built for his wife too. He lives in Casper and spends a bit of time at Herb's shop.
Dave
Thanks everyone for the replies.
Ken & FerretWYO....I'm sure the bow I want to see belongs to artifaker (Larry L Langford Jr), so thanks for that info.
I found the thread where he originally posted pics of the bow, but the images have been deleted. Ken has pics of the bow. He sent them to me, but the images won't open for some reason.
I emailed artifaker1 asking if he would send me pics, but haven't heard from him yet.
Dave, I'd like to see pics of you brothers bow if possible.
Zebra, Bocote, Tulip? Let's see some pictures. I am jonesin for a Pronghorn fix.

prarriedog how could you of all people need a pronghorn fix. lol. I think I saw the bacote bow in herbs shop. He built an awesome birds eye bow for my dads wife.
I contacted Larry and he sent pics of the bow.
One of the most stunning Zebrawood bows I've ever seen.
Thank you Larry for the pics.
Thanks to everyone else for the help in running it down.
Billy
Yep it was me. I used to hail from Casper back in the oil boom days and I have returned to central WY most every year. I want to stop in and talk to Herb one of these days, I was there in 2008 but he wasn't around. I have never actually talked to him.
I sent Billy the pics, I cant post pics anymore due to photo bucket.
Billy,
Please shrare the pics with the rest of the class, our interest is defenitely piqued.
Does they shoot as good as they look?
Now, Billy, I thought you were "TallTines-ing" it these days! :saywhat:
Don't make it jealous, or the grip won't fit as well anymore!
LOL.....Ok guys....just to avoid any confusion, Brian is building me a new Tall Tines. I wanted the pics of Larry's Zebra Pronghorn to show Brian what I'm looking for in Zebra.
Larry has the Zebra Pronghorn and a Zebra Morrison, both are very beautiful bows anyone would be proud to own.
buckster....I can't post pics on here, but I'll glady forward the pics of Larry's bow if you'd like.
So....I am still a devoted fan of Tall Tines....only hoping Brian can find some Zebra as nice as what's in the Pronghorn.
I have a 3 pc Pronghorn that will be all Zebrawood with actionboo cores that will be done in Mid to end of Jan. I will post pics when received. Ken
Yes, the bow is screaming fast. I'm shooting it with a ten strand 8125 and I draw it twenty nine. It is about 56 to 57 pounds there and I'm shooting my 31 1/4 inch 340s with 300 grains up front. It got a good workout today on the 3D course. It really whips those arrows like darts. Dead in the hand and whisper quiet. Some don't like the grips, but other than that, you just can't complain about a pronghorn too much. It was a mind blowing experience the first time I shot one.
Billy,
Send me the pics, I can put them up for all of us that are interested :D
Here are the pics:

There you go guys.
Is that a snazzy suckerbuster or what?
Thanks for posting the pics Steve O
The pictures are from Casper MT. 3D range about 12 miles from Herb Melands shop.
You might try pignut (Pete Kutney). He is a bowyer from Maine who got Ray Hammond some very distinct Zebra wood for a Centaur and also helps Gregg Coffey at times with wood. He is an exotic wood nut! I know cause I get his scraps for knife handles. He's not on that often so you can PM for his email if you want.
Here some Zebra wood he got for Gregg to do my Helm's Deep/Lil Favorite...Doc

Doc,
Thanks for the tip. I may see if Brian would like to contact him if he can't find what I'm looking for.
Zebra just has that "LOOK AT ME" thing going on.
I just love it. I only have one bow in Zebra.
I need one in Bocote....and one in Tulip wood...and one in....
I recognize the range on top of the mountain, I have donated many shafts to the arrow eaters up there.

Can't go wrong with a Pronghorn. That Zebra Wood is awesome. I'm a "Grain-Freak". Just love Bocote, Zebra, Tiger Maple etc.. This is mine, an older one from before Herb started installing the PH Coins. Just got a second set of limbs in Red Elm. Dead in hand, quiet, smokes an arrow downrange. I'm about to install her new Beavertail grip.

I have one out of the same board that was shown except mine is 66" and 53@30" it has a fiberglass backed zebra wood riser with highly figured Zebrawood veneers over amberboo cores, it is a very sweet shooting bow...PR
Here is my LH Bocote Pronghorn. One set of limbs is 50# @ 28 and the other is 56# @ 28.

Beautiful bow Dave....and a leftie to boot.
These are some nice bows.
Those are some real nice looking woods for sure. Billy, tell Brian that if he comes up some zebrawood looking that nice, he may have to change my Santos Rosewood veneers.
Dave, that Bocote is beautiful! Sharp quiver too, perfect match with the bow woods. My limbs are also 50# and 56# at my draw.
