Title: Predator Quivers??
Post by: Footed Shaft on November 22, 2009, 05:31:00 PM
I finally managed to find a Predator   :D
I would like to know what my options are for quivers? I have a Selway slip on, but i am not much of a fan of it  :(  . I would like to use the supplied 1/4-20 quiver bushings that are supplied with the bow. So what are my options?? If ya have any pics of your bows with quivers on them, please post.  :)   Thnx Bill

I dont have a Predator but I have used a Great Northern side mount on many bows. Its a great quiver and it's light weight. They come with thumb knobs for large and small bushings.

Bill, I use a Delta 7 arrow quiver on mine.  The only pics I have of it have dead stuff in them.  Here's a few from different angles.

I have used a Delta, similar to Landshark for almost ten years.

My son has a Great Northern on his Predator, with the little knobs that thread in the bushings, and it works great.

It will end up being a personal decision. I have tried the Great Northern on my bow, and found it to be very easy to remove for transport in a case, without crunching feathers. I prefer the Delta, because of the looks, and a greater space between the two points of contact with the arrows. I feel it quiets the arrows, and does not allow the fletching to touch and rattle together. My son says he likes his Great Northern because of the looks, and it keeps his arrows quiet, and seperates the fletching.  :D

Congrats on your purchase of a great bow.

LAndshark, first off awesome critter pics!! I already have a Delta quiver but i had it mounted on a Brackenbury and never even thought about mounting it on my Predator cause it is a side mount( Brackenbury was a back mount). I guess if i just turned the mounting brackets 90 degrees it would fit just fine.
Bonebuster, i like way my Delta holds the arrows as well, my Great Northern just seems to allow for too much arrow/ shaft movement/ vibration.
Thanks for the replies guys. Bill

Check out the Kanati Angle Bow Quiver. It will bolt to your predator with 1/4-20 screws

Landshark160, do i need two brackets that are the same to be able to mount the quiver on my Predator?  The brackets( arms) that i currently have are both long, but one has a considerable twist in it. I am not really sure it will mount flush to the riser.  Bill

This is the one that I bought right from the folks at Predator, I like it that it attaches with the inserts right on the bow, very quiet and stable:

Thunderhorn "Sidewinder" 2 piece quiver

Utilizes the threaded bushings installed in bow riser. 1-6 arrow capacity. Choose from reddish tone or greyish tone leather

Prices: $89.99

What John Dill says.

Howler,Owner of the world's second prettiest Predator, you'll be happy to know I "uglied-up" my Predator a bit, little run in with a Lone Wolf. :~)
More on that later.

I have a Great Northern on my Predator(s).  No problems with movement or noise at all.  I did bend the bottom bracket a little to move the fletching back inline with the limb similar to the Kanati angle quiver.

As for the world's prettiest Predator, I happen to think it resides here with me.  I'll try to get a picture up soon.

Here it is with the first kill. Sorry I had removed the black leather Great Northern quiver.  I'll put it back on and get a picture.

I use the newer model Bear quiver on mine. It's similar to the Delta quiver.
