Title: target failure
Post by: Earl Jeff on November 19, 2009, 08:53:00 PM
Had a little accident in the kitchen tonight. My homemade plastic bag target failed and I ended up with two holes in one of the kitchen cabinet doors. Note the two small holes to the right of the target. this should be good when the old lady gets home. (http://i567.photobucket.com/albums/ss115/earljeff/targeterror003.jpg)

Thats why I save dead wood borer bees I kill in the summer. Place them on the floor before she gets home and all is good!

I've got about 5 holes in the Hardy plank siding at the back of my garage, several holes in the boxes that hold the Christmas decorations, 2 holes in the plywood Easter Bunny.....anyone for the ol' apple on the head shooting demonstration?

Take the cabinet door off, and tell her you are getting estimates for new cabinet doors.....

I will admit to having put a couple of holes in a motel room wall- damp Kleenex made them almost unnoticeable... Well, it was raining...

There's a door in my garage that looks eerily similar.  Unfortunately the house is a rental and I'm not sure how to fix the hole as the door is metal.  I don't shoot in the garage any more!

You wouldn't believe the number of holes we had in the walls of the Superceder factory! We had a 20 yard inside range, and a huge target that some of us still managed to miss occasionally. I gave all the employees a daily shooting break if they wanted it. Some of them had never shot before, so they had a good excuse. As for the rest of us...

Hey slivrslingr just sand off the paint and use auto body bondo. Put it on in thin coats and sand it lightly between each. Do this till it is nice an flush and paint. They will never know.
I was a finish carpenter for years and used bondo and many things the stuff is great.
To bad it wont fix mistakes building bows. haha

A couple of years back I put a hole clear through an exterior wall and the siding on my house, from the inside.Luckily The feathers hung in the siding, because my truck was a bout 10 feet from being the next back stop. After that I did not see Tracy for almost a week.Finaly after a week some of the swelling in my eyes went down and I could just begin to see again.  :biglaugh:

My neighbors WIFE has one stuck in the roof of his garage. Its stuck all the way up to the feathers under the shingles. She was shooting and hit the top of the target brace. The arrow went straight for his garage. She still hasnt told him and he hasnt noticed....lol.....Roy
