Jack left the "back" of the limbs unfinished for me so I could put on a set of snakeskins. That's why the glass looks a little funny in this pic.....
It's gonna be a loooonnngg week......
-
that there looks like a turkey killing machine right there. Did you order it black like that for the blind?
-
South paw no less. I like the black, will look cool with some skins on it.
-
Awww Black Beauty! What are the specs on it Curt?
-
A pair of Emery Rat snake skins would look real nice on that baby. With that black glass it is probably extra snappy.
Bill
-
That is sharp!

Curt:
WOW! That thing is Gorgeous. It is going to be a long week waiting. Let us know how she shoots.
Bryan

-
New Turkey bow there Curt! Congrats Brother!
-
Curt that is one smokin bow could be a twin to my Brushbow that Mark Horne is gluing up today silver black dymondwood riser maple limbs and black glass.Good luck with it it looks great.
-
SSHHHOOOOW WWEEEEEEEEEEEE that there sure is sweet :0)
-
Thanx guys...I really can't wait to shoot it!!!
I wanted the Black for a few reasons....
1. I've always wanted a dark "blackish" bow
2. yes, nice and dark for inside the blind
3. yes, I hear black glass might make it a bit snappy....not that's a problem with jack's bows. They all are!
Not sure the exact weight,I just asked jack to make it between 55-57#@28"...I draw about 28 1/2"
Charcoal silvertone dymondwood, riser and wedges, maple and black phenolic stripes to make the flare.....56" long
Not sure what kind of skins yet. I have copperheads, bullsnake, western diamondback, and I think rat snake...but I think that'll have to wait till turkey seasons over....what do you guys think, which one's?
My old KS isn't going anywhere!!! I just wanted something lighter for the cold weather hunts, and shoots that I shoot alot of arrows(Muzzy)....
No static limbs...same as my old bow. I wanted it to feel as similar as possible. Jack also still had the same casting of the grip(My old silvertip) that he made the last one from,so the grip should be real similar also.....
Bill, sleep will get worse as the week goes on bud :help:
I like the brace about 7 1/4" on my other Styk, this one should be similar....
-
Randy and Joe...will do
Chuck,if all goes as planned.....
Sounds like you guys have some beaut's coming, Looking forward to your pix!
-
Excellent Curt....good luck with it in May!!
-
Guru,
That is a good looking bow.Good luck with it.
-
Sure is a beaut! I know its gonna be hard but try to get some sleep so you're rested and ready to shoot her soon as the mailman leaves. Heck invite the mailman to shoot a little with you and you'll have a friend for life.
-
Curt, I saw some bullsnakes over black and they looked awesome, in fact if you go to Morrison's site and look under ilf limbs he has a set there.
-
Ah!!!!......black......always great when ya get a new bow of your liking.
I'm sure this one will step up to the plate soon enough.
-
I saw this earlier as my bud sent me pics. before he posted. Curt, very nice. Wait to skin it until after I get mine back from Jack. We can do them together. I hope to be there when ya bloody it!! Shawn

Thanx Jeff
Believe it or not,my grass is ready to be cut....well, whenever it dries out.....
-
Curt---nice "styk"--enjoy---
p.s.--glad your son is doing well..
-
Hey the guy is 78 yrs. young. (Jack) Cut him some slack. :D He just made me some limbs for mine and put the wrong length on them. Hope I can make it that long and still go huntin like he does.
-
By the way that little undercut - relief you see between the shelf and side window. My idea for more feather clearance. Mine is hopefully going to be killin stuff again this fall after getting some lighter limbs. Nice looking Bow there Curt.
I prefer the gary myself.
