Title: Tiller?
Post by: xtrema312 on November 19, 2009, 10:19:00 AM
Can someone, or many, explain tiller and what is different between a bow tillered split vs. 3 under?  How can you tell how a bow is tillered if you don't know for sure?

split is usually somewhere around 3/16ths positive and 3 under is usually closer to even tiller, with the bottom limb being the stiffer limb.

To find it, measure at an equal place usually at the fades..out to the string.

To explain tiller...it's basically making the limbs bend equally (for the application).
