First of all I would like to say I'm sorry to TradGang member natale.donald . Last night I read his thread and posted a question about why the first choice was to go offshore with his purchase. I also commented concern that this first choice attitude was going to cost a lot of fine US bowyers their businesses.
Anyway it turned into a bash Wingnut thread for asking the question instead of providing his answers. For that I'm sorry.
Mike
Thanks Mike.
I was just noticing yesterday that you take a lot of effort to answer questions and share experiences on this site and I appreciate it. Also, you were very generous with your time when I stopped by and visited your shop a couple years back. If you post a lot you are going to step in it now and then. Please keep active here and keep making great bows.
As usual, you can't type the tone of your voice. I missed this thread, but we've all seen them before. Thanks for stepping up Mike.
Mike
You have no reason to apologize for stating your point and standing by it. You have that right. I may not have agreed with you but I honor your input. Don't be bashful.
Spoken like a true gentleman.
Good on you Mike. I love it that you "Manned-up" I've always respected you and it's no different now. Plus you got a great wife and son who make up for any short comings you may have. lol
God bless,Mudd
Hey Mike, I don't think there is one of us here who hasn't said something they didn't want to say...after they said it. We all know your heart is in the right place. But there is room for everyone in this sport, and competition keeps us honest and thoughtful about our business.
Just FYI, Samick is investing thirty million dollars in a plywood business in Alaska that will employ Alaskans and provide good jobs for the locals. I also just read, or heard where Honda was the most "American Made" of all the cars nowadays. Whooooda thunkit?
Good info to have Mr.Stout. Thanks for keeping us INFORMED.
Chuck
Wow, I'll have to start planting some plywood trees!
A true Tradganger!
Mike,
I read that thread and didn't see anything You said as being wrong. You asked a question and others took it wrong. I understand where TradGang member natale.donald is coming from, Hell I'm in the same boat when it comes to money.
Samick is a Great company and in time will be big in the USA for getting a Great made bow. I also see Your point about Buying American. Maybe You should have used different words in your post, but still. I didn't see anything wrong in what you typed.
Takes a Man to admit he's wrong in public. Another to accept his apology. b
Wingnut ,
This is what I love about Tradgang , we all try to give respect to each other and when we feel like were wrong we say Im sorry . You dont see that much anymore and I think were a lucky group of folks to have found one another .
Mike
Mike, great thing to do. Tradgang is like a big family. Not everybody agrees, but in the end we are always there for each other when needed....Roy
PM'd you, Mike

Dang fine stuff right there! This is why I've yet to visit any other site.  :clapper:
Wow! I have never met Wingnut, but I love to see a man who has both passion and humility.
I personally don't see Wingnut's query about buying offshore as any kind of "bashing" or as an "attack" on natale.donald.
Nor did I perceive any attempt to call this gentleman "unpatriotic."
Mike did, however, put forward an apology for any slight. That speaks volumes of Mike's character.
I have dealt with Mike, and Dryad bows, his product is great, his prices very reasonable, and his product support above reproach.
I can't say that about most of the "offshore" companies that I have had to deal with.
While I realize that many people are "cutting back" to ends meet, I also believe that we need to support OUR economy, as much as we can. (and I do realize that it is nearly impossible to avoid buying "offshore)
Wingnut is merely voicing the obvious. Without support, even more jobs will be "outsourced."
And hopefully, natale.donald will find the offered apology acceptable.
For myself, I am thinking about a couple of more DRYAD bows! :)
TTT
Wingnut without an opinion who would you be or any of us for that matter.Ok maybe you would be a politician. :campfire:
"Never apologize it's a sign of weakness"...John Wayne
I agree it is sometimes difficult to relate "tone" with a keyboard.
BTW, thanks for making me an awesome Orion!
