Title: Youth Bow Makers
Post by: markfromark on November 14, 2009, 09:51:00 PM
I know this is probably searchable information, but I'm not having much luck.  Who are the recommended youth bowyers (preferably associated with this site)?

I have a 7-year old nephew who is a small fellar, he shoots leftie, and I want to get him a longbow for Christmas.

Thanks in advance...................Mark

Maddog bows. I've had Mike make me two bows, one for me and one for my daughter, and have two more on order for my wife and other daughter. Makes a great bow for the money. He is in the sponser list.

Maddog is a sponsor and helps make the youth giveaways here possible. Plus Mike is just a top notch guy.

My brother and I got Howard Hill longbows for Christmas when I was in the 3rd grade. It was the "Bear Cub" model and they are still available according to the Howard Hill website. To this day that was the best Christmas gift I have received.

Kohannah makes a super nice kids longbow. I gave my son one for Christmas last year. Osage limbs and purple heart riser. Sharp looking bow!

Another vote for Maddog... I just received the Pup recurve that Mike made for my 6yr old son, and I was amazed at the craftsmanship.

I can't wait until my son unwraps it on Christmas morning.

We reviewed a Mad dog Pup with my grand daughters help, and it is a great little bow. I like it so much I bought  one for my grand son. He is 4 now .

The pup review is in my trad review pages at  www.peteward.com (http://www.peteward.com)
