I would like to say that on Wendsday I went hunting in a Nor-Easter here in Jersey and wore for the first time my Longhunter shirt( Made by Ron La Clair) . it performed awesome! I was warm and dry ( didn't see a thing unfortunately)Hope that Ron will come out with pant's now. So if you need a wool option and can't afford a lot this is the ticket.I look forward to many more hunts in it.Oh and Thanx Jeremy
Jeremy,...
Ron,Jeremy is a guy who had one and wasn't gonna use it and sold it to me.I love the craftsmanship of the shirt Thank you for producing it and how about some pant's.
One of these days I'll do something worthy of a 'thumbs up' from Ron! :)
I'm glad you like it! It was an XL and I'm not, so it's been in my closet. Definitely a well made shirt!

Thats a tough one Jeremy.....
:banghead:
It hasn't been cold enough to wear mine during the day this year; but we've had some nights of 29-32 for lows and I sat on the porch at 2am when it was in that temp range with my longhunter shirt, a peruvian alpace chullo a pair of bdu cargo pants and Ugg shearling boots on and slept until my aunt came by at 6am. I was toasty warm. I didn't mean to sleep just look at the moon and stars for an hour or so and see how comfortable I'd be. Well I guess the falling asleep answered that question. More than comfortable I was cozy.
I have one of Ron's shirts and love it. The wife hates it says, I look like a mountain man. personelly I like that look ,even if we are going to a social function. I wear mine so much I really should order another
Windtalker, would she like it if you went naked and looked like a cave man lol. Never mind don't answer that.
I wore my Longhunter on some cold, windy days up at ShrewHaven this year. That extra length isn't just a "period" thing. I was much more protected from the wind in that shirt vs my normal Woolrich. It is a true "hunting shirt".
Which shirt is the heavyweight one, the best used for the outer layer ma)be with a vest over it?
The website shows which shirt is which the dark gray is the heavyweight and a flannel or chamois would be all u need under it not over it and you should get a belt or use one of your own. The hood is what I'm getting next and I wish they made pants.Click on the ad for his shop and you will find them.
The dark gray one is (or at least was) the heavy one and you really want a hood with it. Even if you don't wear the hood on your head, the hood's collar or cape or whatever you call it is long enough to cover your shoulders, chest and the top of your back - it really makes a difference.
Id like to see bibs!
Mark
Thanks guys, I'm looking to make the switch to wool. I'd like to do some bibs, a longhunter shirt and a vest over that if needed! I'm thinking this would be a perfect set up! Looks like the Tamarrack green shirt is the one for me!
Maybe if we all beg Ron to make pants or bibs he will make it happen. How about a thread/petition to get it rolling if enough want it it could be worth it for him, a lot of money could be made!
Hey Ron...... We need bibs.... We need bibs.... pretty please! :jumper:
I second that motion
I 3rd if it will come in a ladies size or kids xl :)
Punched my doe tag in my longhunter shirt. Was on the ground standing in front of corn and the deer looked right though me! Great shirt!
I'd buy pants or bibs if Ron would offer them. I love my heavy longhunter shirt. I also agree with the earlier post about getting the hood when you order the shirt.
