OK, so I got some of that special detergent. I'm going to wash EVERYTHING, shoes, backpack, towels, undies, socks and my camos.
My question is I'm in an apartment complex and really don't have a way to dry the clothes without a dryer. Do you think I can go ahead and use a communal dryer??
I use the dryer here at the house. I also use fresh earth cover sent dryer sheets. always worked for me.
Clean out the lint trap first then dry a towel that was washed in scent free soap to get any smells out from whoever used it, before you throw your clothes in. Check inside to make sure no one left dryer sheets in there also.
Ok. Will do Arwin. Thanks.
Cool, I hope that helps.
I would also recommend you run the washer through a rinse cycle before you use it too, but if you have to pump quarters in it then you might not want to do that.
Ohhh....too late. They're already washing. You think the towels I'm going to use for bathing will be fine as the "Snuffer Towels" before clothes?
You should be fine, I'm just extra cautious with my clothes. :bigsmyl: Some people dump a ton of laundry soap in the washers and it can leave a film of soap in there and scent. Plus some detergents have UV brighteners that can get into your clothes and deer can pick it up. Leaves a blue haze on your clothes that deer see.
That is a debated topic but I'd rather be safe.
I had Three dryers. I had three towels. I put the towels in until dry then put the clothes in. I then put a trash bag over the folding table, folded then bagged everything. Backpack and shoes are hanging of my balcony to dry.
Pretty good, or should I rinse and repeat??...LOL!
I was going to suggest that you put vinegar in the rinse water to get rid of any soap residue and smells but you already washed them.
After all of that don't forget to play the wind.

Yes sir. Got it. =0)
Use fresh earth scent dryer sheets and then when you take them out put them in something air tight with earth wafers in with it. When you take your clothes out to put them on you will smell just like a hand full of dirt. Best system i have ever found.
I use the dryer at my house and I throw 3-4 dirt cover scent disks in they work but take them out or the wife gets mad when the kids clothes smell like dirt.
I like to follow the same steps as Arwin, I also throw a small amount of baking soda in the dryer, run it a few seconds, then clean the lint trap again, then dry my clothes.
I use a lot of baking soda when prepping my clothes....
