Sasturday was the first day of Fox season . I had just got down out of my stand on another deerless morning , while packing up my gear I saw a fox cross the ridge about 70 yards out . I licked the back of my hand and started squeaking like a mouse , I continued this on and off for about 5-10 minutes . I saw a flash of red go behind a tree , I stood and drew my bow in one fluid motion . This gal was trotting towars me at 14 yards when I released an arrow and watched her run over the hill.

Nice looking fox
Good deal Jack, That's a fine looking red.
Thats awesome, sure would like to stick one someday! Congrats!
Nice fox, nice shot, and very quick thinking. Very good hunting when you can outsmart a wily red fox!
Well done!
Good shot! Those are quick and small targets.
 :clapper:
Imagine her surprise when her breakfast invitation went so wrong!!!
Very nice!
I think he will make a great back quiver , even though I don't use a back quiver I will use it to hang arrows in the house.
Jack
Outstanding! Way to go, Jack! :archer:
Well done. Thats a great trophy! I'd love to have a back quiver out of one I shot.
That is really a pretty vixen, Jack. The one I saw yesterday was kinda ratty. With all our coyotes here, foxes are scarce so they get a pass from me. I'll take any shot a coyote will give me, tho.
Beautiful animal!Congrats and good shooting!
Nice going Jack!! Looks like we have more than our bow of choice in common this year.
Plus we are both Lefties :)
Jack
Wow very impressive.
Nice fox. Foxes are a real rare sighting in here in IL. We used to see them a lot, guess the coyotes have taken over.
