The rut seems to be a little late ,last weekend all of us where seeing big bucks and this whole week just seeing 120class and smaller. What is going on in your woods?Had a great week just nothing big enough to shoot.
I hunted Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and all day today. Not much activity, in southeast Ohio. My wife saw a shooter Wednesday morning and evening. I think they are starting to cruise a little bit. The does still have this years youngun's with them. I saw a little forkhorn work over a scrape today, and that is the only buck that I laid eyes on this week.
Me think things are gonna bust loose sometime soon. Dang FULL MOON.......anyways.

Just talked to S. Williams and they are chasing hard core over at Figs place the last 2 days. One guy missed a big 10 this morning. Sam is going in the AM.
Saw a big 10 about 140 last night tryin to box a doe in and chased her off the property. Last two days we have seen alot of buck activity. All the bucks from 100in to 140in were chasen hot does hard. I bleated a doe in two days ago and she brought in two smaller bucks. One was a nice nine. My huntin partner saw two monsters chasen each other around the back field. Seems to be going on in Portage Co. My friend down Southern Ohio in Morgan Co just packed up and will try again next week. Things seemed slow to him and we have a heat wave coming through that wont leave until Wednesday of next week.
Pretty slow in Shelby Co. also. It's hot and lots of standing corn. I set all day yesterday and saw 0 bucks. Maybe next weekend!
Tuscarawas County quiet, very quiet lots of small bucks and yearlings. Now it is going to be hot.I have only seen one buck chasing a doe and that was a small eight.
Three years ago I went to see my brother in law in southeastern Ohio and he said the best way to hunt deer was with the truck! they are everywhere so show me the deer.
I am seeing more bucks cruising in the am right now. On my way to hunt yesterday, I saw a 140 class buck cross the road and on my way home I watched a 130 inch deer guarding a bedded doe in a cut corn field. 3 smaller bucks were waiting in the wings.
Here in central Ohio we still have a ton of standing corn that is making it a little rough. The warmer temps aren't helping either.
I was down southeast last weekend through wed. and thought they were chasing and breeding. I saw no does with young.
I shoot a nice 8 point, he was nose down and I couldnt get him to break stride.
saw a 130 class buck breed a doe 3 times yesterday afternoon about 40 yards from my stand in Adams county, she was trying to come by me but he kept pushing her away. I only have till next saturday to hunt. in the last week I have seen several other bucks chasing or walking with does. Lots of standing corn here
Just in from the morning hunt to grab a bite to eat. The bucks are chasing hard in the middle par of the state. I saw 5 bucks chasing one doe about 11:00 this morning. Saw 2 bucks earlier from the stand out cruising.
Got a buddy that watched a buck breed a doe yesterday and I saw a lot movement in general yesterday.

Spent Friday and and Saturday morning in the treestand in Defiance County and very little activity, but did see a lot of movement at night several days ago during the full moon. Had a nice 120 buck at 15 yards in my back yard at 10 o'clock at night with its nose to the ground, didn't pay any attention to me standing out in the wide open
I saw a big 12 point Friday morning but other than that have only been seeing 120 ish bucks and does. What I have been seeing do seem to be chasing though.
Slow night again maybe tuesday cold front coming again.
Just got back from hunting camp where things were slow at best! I did see some good ones going home in some other guys truck beds
Rut is kicking in Brown County. Hunting private land tonight and watched four bucks surround a doe in a thicket and run her ragged. Biggest buck was in the 130's I would say. She finally got past one of them and they all took off after her. The biggest buck of the evening was a heavyhorned eight pointer who didn't seem to care about the doe that was directly behind my stand
I saw two bucks and a doe Saturday morning. Had one buck coming to my mock scrape, but the doe that was there got spooked and he followed after her.
Hunted from 9am untill dark on Friday. Seen 6 bucks and 4 doe in that time. Saw the first deer a doe at 2pm then the first buck around 2:30pm. The largest of the bucks was a good 8pt. Sunday hunted from 1pm untill dark and only seen 1 buck a small forky.
Did have a HUGE 8pt behind the house at 12pm yesterday. I was taking a shower when my wife came in and said come out and look out the window at a "MONSTER BUCK". Well I knew it had to be big for her to come and get me. I got out and looked out the bedroom window and there stood a 150 or better 8pt. :scared: :knothead: But it's still cool to have them around year round to watch along with all the other wildlife.

I was hunting near Tippacanoe yesterday, saw 2 does and NO bucks. Hot and dry. Squirrles sound like elephants.
Went out tonight for the last couple of hours of daylight, got in my stand and saw deer from start to finish. The deer movement looked good but no shooters, 6 bucks and 4 does. Almost like it was early Oct and not Nov the bucks really payed no mind to the does. The weather is do to change just going to keep my fingers crossed.
Full moon last week, 70 degree temps this week.
Deer movement is way down from 2 weeks ago.
Just got home from a weekend camp/hunting trip by West Bedford. LOTS of chasing this weekend as well as last weekend. All small bucks though doing the chasing. Does are coming into heat though---been seeing several running around waving their tails and just playing hard-to-get, running from the little bucks. Dang deer don't stand still very long though when their either chasing or being chased!!
Ben
hot all week slowed them down i see them at dark they pin me down every night and i cant get down had a very big one 4 nights ago walk twenty yards all io could see was his rack and head going into the corn this week they will be out darke county
Been seeing a whole lot of chasing going on on my way home from work in the mornings. This morning was crazy!!! Bucks and does all over the picked corn fields......wish I didn't have an appt. to go to  :banghead:
Same here but no shooters. CRAZY
I killed a 6 pointer this morning.
wife was on my case to restock the freezer since I got laid off a week ago so I'm a meet hunter this year.

I know my dad and uncle said it has picked up big time in the last 4 days, my uncle shot a big nontypical yesterday on public land, they had to go back and finish dragging him out today they hauled for 4 hours till dark and said they probally had another 6-8 hours left, but thats why we are all alone in there, it's steep, rugged, and a long walk but worth it, plus my dad thinks it is a 6 or 7 yr old buck so he has a huge body, it took both of them to get him on his back to gut it out.

It is so crazy that you guys can not quarter them up and pack them out.
Was this in Ohio?
Congrats on your families success.
