Big Doe Down .......Well after about two and half weeks of hunting the farm and taking his homework to the tree stand every night, it finally paid off and God blessed Jean-Pierre with a beautiful big mature doe.

He made prefect shot at 16 yards with his Whispering Winds arrow and Abowyer Bone Head. The Hoots longbow with a SBD 8 strand bow string put the arrow on the mark and it took out the top of heart and broke the shoulder on the opposite side. Recovery was 53 yards with a blood trail that was not difficult to follow.

And by the way Jean-Pierre brought his report card today and all that studying in the tree stand paid off and got him High honors and 3.875 GPA. Jean-Pierre has once again made his Papa proud in more than one way.
To my best huntin' buddy.....Congratulations and God Bless... :clapper:

Nice shooting
Congrats to the both of you!!!
Great to see. Congrats.
Nice job Dad, teaching him the right priorities. Good hunting, sticking with the studies and doing it safely with the hunter safety system for the tree stand. Kids tend to think of themselves as invulnerable and don't need to study or be safe. You have taught otherwise and Jean Pierre is a better person for it.
:notworthy: :clapper:

Congrats, What a great hunt and memories for a proud PaPa.
This brings back memories back to 2009...
Don't know how or why it got brought back to the top but Jean-Pierre is now 19 and in his 2nd year at West Virginia University majoring Petroleum and Natural Resources Engineering and on the Deans list. He is a member of the #1 ranked Division 1 NCAA Rifle team in the USA and doing well.
Hope he gets a chance to come home and hunt this year with his busy schedule.
God Bless, Pierre
