Me too! Since then I attach the straps over a couple soft pieces of thin leather, that works!

A little bit. Not so bad and not as bad as some of the marks I put in it by normal use in the woods.

Bob L. probably the type of finish used. The rubber compressing the finish will cause it to darken.
I notice this some years ago on some arrows that I finished with Tru-oil. Where they were in the gripper, they left dark rings.
Not sure I used TBIRD which is good stuff, I wonder if I tightened the straps to tight cause I had them wrapped tight.
Get some vet. wrap from the feed store or your local vet. It come in various colors. You can get the same stuff in beige at your local pharmacy. Wrap around the riser where the quiver makes contact. Makes a great no slip surface and protects the bow. After you mount the quiver wrap several times over the quiver straps makes a rock solid hookup.
for a awesome quiver that doesn't leave marks, try a kanati bow quiver from Annewakee archery
The marks should rub out. Mine always do.
I've never had a Great Northern leave marks, but the Kanati I used to have really marred up my longbow limbs.
Never had a Problem with any of mine.
