Yeah he got a pass due to his size. I figured he was fairly young. I think a bobcat would be an awesome mount.

How neat is that!?! I've never seen one in the woods. Plenty of them in Okla. for sure...

I shot one with a snuffer years ago and it went about 5 ft. Oddly enough a nice buck came to within a few feet of the dead cat and never smelled it. LOTS of blood too. Looked like a sprinkler for a few seconds! Wish I'd have had that one mounted. It was about 20 pounds.

I've seen one this year too and my brother had 2 come by him the other day.  They are sure cool to watch.  Maybe you'll get another chance at him in season.

I did get to see a bobcat kill a squirell right in front of me at 35 ayrds. I spot it sneakin through and thought this is cool,,Never seen one in the wild before,, then I see this litte grey squirell goinf right twords hima and he doesn't know the cat is there,, the cat readies itself against this old log,,the squirell gets to close and the chase is on,,they make it to a tree five yards away and this cat is chasing this squirell up and down this tree like it is a squirell,,I couldn't beleive it man,, then the squirell made the mistake by going to a smaller tree ten yards away and decended it and the cat pounced and killed it right in front of me  The cat then made its way back twords the swamp it came from, with his catch in his mouth,What a great night,JB
