What a roller coaster! As many of you know the bow I am using Dad picked out a week before he passed. This is my first deer with Traditional gear, and the first one with Dads bow....
There was alot of support from a few fellas when I doubted if it would ever happen. Charlie Lamb, Ted at Raptor are a few people that really eccouraged me to keep plugging away, Thanks guys!
I seemed to have alot of misses before I finally connected. Funny thing...the more I missed the more laid back I got. Instead of getting upset, I took everything in stride, knowing it was just a matter of time before it will happen.
She came in an hour before dark, and was slightly quatering to (almost broadside)at 15 yards. After a very emotional bloodtrail not to mention long, heres what we found at the end!
Dad we did it!
She was taken with a Black Widow PlX 58@28, Arrow Dynamics Traditional, tipped with a 190 Grizzly (total arrow weight 735 gr)
