Title: practice pays off in Wisconsin
Post by: ChetterB on October 27, 2009, 07:43:00 PM
It is Saturday afternoon I find my self as a stander on a small bow drive made up of family members, when I hear a driver ( nephew ) yell watch up in front -- within seconds I see a decent 7 point buck with very white horns running towards my direction -- I ready for the shot and deliver a perfect strike ( double lungs) at approximately 20 yards. the Gold tip 5575 and Magnus 2 blade did its work and we found the buck easily within 100 yards. The great feeling our group had will be remembered for a long time. I am struggling with Pictures Ken if you read this please add the picture I sent you . Oh yeah the Whippenstick Firestorm at 52#'s worked awesome with a complete pass through right on the money!!!Thanks Jerry

WoW!  Great job!  Sounds like lots of fun.  This was a running shot at 20 yards?  Reminds me of "Bowhunting October Whitetails" - makes me wish I was there!

Thanks everyone, our traditional archery is such a great sport. Good luck everyone their is some great hunting ahead for all of us, me included. From here on out it will have to be the old mature does, plenty of chalange for me, and great eating. Will be hunting with two of my three boys the first week in November. What a great time to share the great outdoors. Thanks again good luck!!! Jerry.
