I called this rutting Bull out on Sept.29,09 .He was in full rut and only took a couple of cow calls to bring him out. He is part of a small herd of protected White Moose about 55 miles west of Timmins.I have also seen a couple of cows and a calf over the years. Serge,

A moose with snow camo....cool!
That is cool!
Charlie
That is neet!
May be a silly question, but why are the white moose protected? Just curious.
BOB
Hi Tom;
This small herd is near Foleyet, close to the groundhog river.Good to hear from you.
Bob; The white moose are protected because of their rarity i suppose. The fault in that kind of management is that you can shoot a brown Moose in the same unit and it may be carrying the recessive gene.
Hey, if he was quartering away a bit, you could aim at the "spot"!
Get rid of the shoulder hump in that pic and he'd look like a horse at a glance.
The pics are great, one of those rare moments for sure.
Wow that is awsome! Such a rare thing to see. i was lucky enough to see a couple of albino faws years back with my brother.
Mate that's pretty cool, I snapped this white Kangaroo a week or so ago.

Thanks Fella's; Here are a couple more pics. (http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x132/recurvehunter_2007/P1010596.jpg)These are some pics hanging in a restaurant in the little town of Foleyet. (http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x132/recurvehunter_2007/P1010595.jpg) Heres a pic of My brotherinlaw Paul, standing next to a mount of a white Bull, that was mounted after a collision with a train.Paul does not hunt , but is probably the best Walleye fisherman that i know!! :notworthy:
I should clarify that these are not albino's,i believe they are probably piebalds.
Great picture!!
Last weekend while driving back from my last hunt of the season, right along the road, was a herd of elk. In the herd was an albino cow elk. The neat thing was how the other elk tried to protect her by keeping her in the middle of the herd. When they would take off, she would always be in the back. When they'd bunch up, she was back in the middle.
I need a new camera :banghead:
Beautiful animal Serg...for you that would have been a chip shot...
Great pics. Thank you for all the information relating to them as well. I love this stuff.
