Title: Homemade Takedown Cases
Post by: Scioto on October 25, 2009, 09:09:00 PM
Hi All,
I have some special wood, and am planning to build a nice wooden case for my favorite take-down recurve.  I am hoping that some of you could post pics of ones you have made to give me some design ideas. Thanks in advance!

That's one of my future projects too.  Be interested to see what this thread turns up.

Scioto,

Looks like no takers.  I know that I saw a buildalong on here at some point, but I did a search and came up with nothing.  If I remember correctly, whoever did it used PVC pipe, split it, closed the ends and used a piano hinge.

The old memory isn't what it used to be though.

Here's a link to my post with a picture of what I came up with converting and old double shotgun case.
