Well I guess the title sums it up. I just made the leap of faith by getting rid of my training wheels! Deer hunting has already started here in good ole wisconsin so I will be shooting the wheel bow until I get a lot more confident with the recurve. I've already searched through some of this great site and have figured out I have much to learn so I hope ya'll aren't too rough on the newbies around here! :) Well I'm sure I'll have a few questions for the pros, but I thought I would introduce myself first!
Bill
welcome to the gang :campfire: pull up a log.
"I hope ya'll aren't too rough on the newbies around here!"
Well, Jeff just took care of your "hazing".
My post constitutes the sum total of the abuse that you should be receiving here, so congratulations on the successful completion your break-in period.
Let the games begin!

Kenny, it looks like you have been getting spelling and grammar lessons from Stringcutter and trashwood again. Quite an improvement, really. :knothead: :D
I am off to my weekly meeting of the Chagrined Again Hunting Club, after my Success Through Kinder and Gentler Human Relations class at the local community center.

Welcome to the ride of your life. I sold my wheelie bow 6 years ago before my first longbow ever even arrived at my house. What a blessing that has turned out to be. Shooting has been "fun" ever since. Good luck to you....and yes, Killdeer is always spot on, gotta love 'er!
Travis
Thanks for the welcome everyone.
Whip, I'm just a bit north of LaCrosse pretty much right on the river. I'm thinkin about heading out to the islands this weekend to do a little hunting with the new toy!
By the way I was told to check out 3riversarchery.com and found out that place is going to get me in trouble! :)
You want to get in trouble, check out the sponsor forum, that will all get you in some good trouble... :saywhat:
Welcome aboard brother!
Billybob,
I went into a local archery store with my TD LB and the guy asked why I didn't get a wheelie instead.
Broke my bow down, put it back together stringed 'er up, and fired a shot.
Invited him to do the same with his wheelie.
MUCH more fun shooting. You are PART of the process instead of just squeezing a trigger release.
Welcome :campfire:
