I'm going on a 7th Age Hog/Javelina hunt this week and am deep in practice and preparations. I had to ship the bow I made to use, so I'm practicing with whatever bows I have on hand that are the closest to it in the way they draw. Yesterday I tried my 3 piece Pronghorn and was reminded what a great, smooth bow it is. I've been a little nervous about going down to Texas and having only one bow, so I started thinking about taking the Pronghorn. (I decided against because I really want to do this with a bow I made.)
Anyhow, my wife has been very supportive of this effort. Even though she's not keen on hunting, the idea of my going after pigs... i.e. pests... is OK with her, but she's made it clear that she's not keen on the idea of eating wild game meat. Also, she truly doesn't follow along closely on all I say when I babble on about archery.
Last night I'm sitting there halfway talking to her and halfway thinking out loud and I said, "You know, I could just pack that Pronghorn in my luggage." She blew up! "Are you out of your mind!? You can't hide raw meat in airport luggage! I thought you were hunting pigs, not antelope! They're cute and aren't hurting anything..." Well, you get the picture...

:biglaugh:
That is funny stuff.
Here's another one that'll make you laugh...
I brought home big vidalias from the produce stand to make blooming onions and my wife says "Honey, do those grow like a regular onion" I said "they grow on an onion tree"
Have an awesome hunt Dick!
We look forward to the great photos that you always have to share AND don't forget to make some PORK!
Safe travels!
Shoot straight, Shinken
Dick I sure hope you have a good time and good luck to you bud.
I was just reading this to my wife and she says: "Why would you want to put a Pronghorn antelope in your luggage?"
You're not alone, my friend. Not alone.
Dick, I hunted with Curtis earlier this year, had one of the best times of my life...you will have lots of good memories when its over. Oh and take plenty of arrows..
