Title: crawled up on one!!!

crawled up on a buck chasing a doe in the middle
of a rice field this afternoon. Shot him at 20yds,and he didn't go far. I have only killed
a hand full of deer that I actually saw and then
crawled up on. What a rush!!! A young 8pt. First
of the year.

Congrats, Paul!  Rice goes great with venison.

I had a young one at about 8 yds in a cornfield last evening.  Public ground with a 4 pts on one side requirement.  Try as I might, I could not put that fourth point on either side.  Fork and a brow on his right and a long spike and a brow with an extra 2" spike at the base on his left.  Gonna look pretty cool in a couple of years.
