Title: Saunders PAK TAB Question....
Post by: Nala on October 17, 2009, 08:43:00 AM
Hey all,

I am thinking about trying one of the Pak Tabs and noticed something on it that I wanted to ask about before I bought one.

I have been looking at some pics that showed the backside and the bolts that the screws go into look like they stick up quite a bit.  From what I seen it looked like that would be pretty darn uncomfortable.  I don't think I'd want those 2 bolts sticking into my fingers as I was under full draw.

Am I seeing something that isn't there or did I just happen upon a bad picture?  Do those bolts really stick out that much?

Thoughts?

Thanks for the time.

The bolts you are talking about are actually pins  to allow a finger spacer to be pushed on.  When the spacer is on the pins are covered.  If you don't use a spacer the pins actually pop out.  I love Pak tabs and use them all the time.

No problems with the Pak Tabs.  You can customize them for feel and to be really quiet.

Pak tabs don't wear out either, they get better with age.

Know a friend who has been using the same one for seven years and it is finally tearing.  He is the one that turned me on to them...

God bless,  Pierre

I take them apart and trim down to minimum needed to cover fingertips. Don't use any of the padding or spacers.I like them a lot. Just spin them around on your finger to get them out of the way.

Never had a problem with the pins/screws causing any discomfort.

And, you can set the tab up how you prefer your tab to be. Thin, thick or anywhere in between.

With or without the anti-pinch spacer.

And, as mentioned above, these things wear like iron!

I still have my original Saunders tab, and though it is getting a little ratty, it still does the job, and does it well.

But, I bought six more, just to sure that I always have a "spare."
