I have always like Tomahawk longbows. After winning the elk hunt that "Elkherder" offered I started getting ready. Started getting in shape, and getting the bow& arrow set-up I will shoot all year till Elk season. Here's a few pictures.
Specs are 64" Diamond SS Stained bamboo back and yew belly. 55# @28" I draw 29" it really spits out the 630gr arrows I made up for the hunt.

Nice. The Tomahawks are my favorite LB's. Let mine get a way tho!
Looks like that should do the deed nicely!!!!
Sweet looking bow, I love the bamboo!
Nice looking bow! Enjoy your hunt.
Shawn
   of course you realize all bows used in the hunt are required to be given to the guide who in this case happens to be yours truly :readit: looks like some potent elk medicine to me dude....i cant wait for this hunt....i'm so pumped up allready to meet more tradgangers and hunt them elk i cannot think straight
That is a sweet looking bow! Looks like the elk might get chopped with a Tomahawk. :biglaugh:
that is a real nice looking elk bow its got it all over it. good luck on ya elk hunt
Nice bow, beautiful woods. I think I could get along with that grip.
Good luck on the hunt.
That ought to do it. Gary
I just hope the next 10 or so months goes by fast. I can't wait to meet everyone...
Beautiful bow, I love that dark bamboo!! I hope the 10 months goes by quick for you, but you know it's gonna seem more like 10 years! ;) Good luck brother!!!
If the time in between elk seasons goes for you as it does me every year it will seem like an eternity :banghead:
Good luck on your hunt and that is one purdy elk killer.
Soak it all up, I live for the last two weeks of september
Travis
Tomahawks are sweet. Hoping for the weather to get better, so I can go out and shoot!
Sweet set-up bud, and isn't it nice to have something like a hunt to motivate you to get in shape....take it slow and you'll be an Elk hunting machine by next September...Good Luck
Great looking bow!
These days, time goes by so fast, that maybe you better slow it down so you can have the anticipation longer.
When it does get here, I wish you all the best!
i joined the ymca at the urging of my woman, walking two miles a day at four miles an hour....tough but i'll be a lean mean guidin machine again by sept.....
And who said 50 was old? We will cover alot of ground Larry.
this is very easy country to hunt dude....no steep hills just mild inclines for the most part.best hunting spot around imo.thats why i've hunted it for so long.
Yep, and plenty action  to boot!
I love woodies that are so simple, but look absolutely spectacular. One of those arrows took more devotion and effort than some people put in in a single day. I'd have a hard time shooting those my friend...unless I was face to face with a Rocky Mountain Elk...a work of art!
:archer:
Sweeeeeet! Tomahawk Mark. Nice arrows too. I think I see a another Tomahawk in my future too. Take the conditioning easy in the beginning and good luck on the the hunt.
Steve
Very nice, congrats on the Elk hunt!
I wish I had the nerve/ trust to hunt elk with a wood arrow.. My Carbons fly so perfect. 630gr with a sharp BH should be perfect. those woodies are some of the best cedar I have found in years. 8 of the 12 had no grain run off, real stright and finish at 600gr on the nose. I sure love making wood arrows. It's good on the soul. I know there are alot of you that would hunt elk with wood arrows and I respect you for it.
i use patriot missles as eluded to by wannabe1....cant miss with patriots man
