Tomorrow is the opening of Alabamas bow season. I plan on going, gonna be warm and might rain a little bit but im not going to let that stop me. Anybody else hitting the woods up in the AM?

I want be able to make it in the morning but will be in there that afternoon and staying till monday. This being my first trad year i cant even begin to tell you how excited i am.
im looking forward to it, just aint quite ready yet... will be in a week or so!
Goin' Saturday. Taking my 7 year old along, so it'll probably be interesting.....don't know if he'll sit long, but no problems there. Biggest pressure of all is if one comes in close...need to make that shot, huh?? I'd love nothing more than to get one with my longbow with him along.....supposed to be kind of cool in the low 40's, so who knows?? Good luck to all.

Still planting d#@*%! horse pasture, for the winter. So I'll be a couple days out. Didn't get to plant today. Something important came up. My wife's dog TAZ died, and I'm like a kid about it! Be alright, and get to hunting in a week or so.

Well I'm a Mississippi boy but our season opens tommorrow and i'm super exited since it'll be my first year hunting traditional. Gonna go tommorrow evenin and all day Friday and Saturday if the weather is like they say it will be. Hoping to put the sting on something with my new black widow!
Lord willing, I'll be there on a loaded live oak or a good trail headed down the edge of a drain. Got a pile of places to go...just depends on the wind when I get there.
I'll hit my white oak areas in about 12 days.
RobTATTOO and I will be after them in the morning and Skyler will Join us after School tomorrow....."Red and Dead"....like it.
im ready!! but i cant decide on what new bow...my montana or chekmate?? think the longbow will be better for the rainy day tomorrow...nothing to takedown after getting wet:)

Have to work but plan on hunting Saturday. The weather should be great. This is my first year hunting trad.

thanks DW, i shot some small game with the chekmate....but man...im doing good here lately with the montana. hopefully, i'll have a pig or deer by tomorrow evening. good luck everyone....im off to try to get a lil sleep. i feel like a lil kid at christmas time:)

My plans are to get setup really early pre dawn and study in my double bull while i wait, then stick one about 730, get it gutted and iced and make it to my psy midterm at 10... we always get funny looks walking in class in camo, but we are all smiling like no ones business cause one of us stuck something!
I won't be out there until the weekend or maybe as late as Tuesday of next week. Oh well, good thing about Alabama, we've got 3 1/2 months to chase whitetails. Besides, it's supposed to dry up and cool off next week.
