After my medical issues from the last year I didn't know if I was ever going to tag another deer. Seems the harder I tried more things would go wrong. I was determined to kill a deer, not to prove anything to my buddies and friends but to prove to myself that I could still do it. Yesterday while hunting with some buddies I finally connected with a nice little ten point.First deer with my dryad Orion, and it did a nice job. The 10 pt was the third deer in line going thru a little opening. The first one thru a six pt was moving too fast. The second one thru an 8 pt stopped and busted melooking straight at me at 25 yards. Just my luck lately. The ten followed on thru the opening at a fast walk, when his head and shoulder and cleared a treeI released. Perfect shot and he was dead in fifty yards. Myluck has finally changed.Thank you gang for your support these last few years.
Way to go bud! Congrats and I here's to many more :clapper:

Thanks guys for the support.I had a huge weight lifted from my shoulders, lots of self doubt about my shooting and strength. A 54 lb bow will do a good job.Reminded me of why I love to hunt.Bobby my good buddy was more excited than me. He has been working hard to get me on a deer. A true friend putting stands upand driving deer for me and then dragging my deer for me.wife was happy for me also, she went out and bought me new boots and gloves
I never had any doubt you would make it back John! Glad to see it come together for you finally - I know it's sure been a long road.
Now, how about some pictures of that buck? :readit:
Congratulations bud!
Joe didn't get any pictures. Lost the feeling in my left hand and lost my camera last year bear hunting. wife won't let me touch her new one. My buddy did take a couple with his cell phone but the quality of those probably isn't too good. Thanks for the comments. Not missing being up in the trees but the deer do pick me out much quicker on the ground. I can't see too well anymore to my left and it seems every deer that happens by me is comming from my left and I don't see them until they get real close. Just something I'm working thru.
