Bob, just keep after 'em!

A swing and a miss is better than no swing at all.....I guess!!

Give me a ring when you have him hanging!!

Never happens to me!  Referring to the clank from the bar of a ladder stand.

Course, I usually don't hunt out of a ladder stand.  But it has happened to me with a tree limb and I have actually missed without any good excuses!  Pick a spot!

It happens, I have done it also. I bet you will not do that again. Hard way to learn isn't it. Same way I learned, I have moved on to other dum things now. The ways to screw up are endless.

Same happened to me on my FIRST miss this season. Drew on a doe and followed her along, somehow swung my drawn bow between my legs ( sitting down)On release the lower limb smacks my left leg and of course it was a clean miss, and a sore leg.I've managed to find four other ways to screw up since then but I'm still having fun!

yup...had a P&Yer come in behind the tree half a decade ago and craned around to shoot and as I released the bottom limb of my longbow hit the seat of the stand.  I almost dove outta the stand after the buck I was so frustrated!   but then I laughed ....especially when my brother yelled out 'That didn't sound right!'   at the top of his lungs from a hundred yards away....   :)

Yep you just got a lesson from a cruel teacher.....giving you the test and teaching you the lesson afterwards.

But I bet you don't do that again.  Keep at it and you will get another shot your obviously in a good location.  Have Fun
