Shootin my Northern Mist Baraga, 55#-56# @ my draw length, Have some CX Heritage 150's shootin great @ only 470 - 490 grns. total arrow wt. too light for my taste but shoots real good, Talked to Steve Turray of NM L/B's and he's not to concerned about this wt. of arrow, Im no light arrow advocate, but this puts me @ or under 9 grains per/lb of bow wt.# What do you think it would take on a CX 250 to get proper flight on this L/B and get the arrow wt.# up ? I should know this and probably do after all the foolin around I've been doin the last year, but wanted someone else's opinion ... Thanks
Adam, that 250 will weigh a ton by the time you get it softened up. I would go with a lighter weight 400 shaft.
Eric
Im drawin a solid 29'' my arrows are 30'' long groove to BOP, 3 5'' shields standard inserts 145 grn. tip, pretty much standard stuff, added some poly rope, gottem up to 525 grn. showed a little weak, my other 53#-54# Baraga likes this set up as well, Thanks Eric
Also, I obviously do not want to hurt either one of these bows and only hunt deer, but never did with this kind of arrow wt.# ...
