Good luck to everyone headed out in the morning. We have such a short season, I hate to waste a day because of the weather report. :( The ol' tree umbrella will get a workout, looks like.

I wish our season went from mid sept to dec 31.
It sure make me feel better about the opening gameday rain. :knothead: :knothead:
Maybe you can spook a few our way!
Good luck!

Good luck guys. I can't go in the am as Emily has a game. I will be out tomorrow evening unless it is raining REALLY hard.
Good luck Greg and Schafer this season.Hope all is well and you find lots of deer coming your way.Frank
Good luck and be safe guys and gals.
Best of luck, guys and girls...
Best of luck to you all.
well, i went out this am, Rutland County, saw a large doe, two fawns eating nuts 50 yards in front of me for an hour, just got out, cant wait until tonight. Rain stopped here about 0700
I saw a MASSIVE coydog and some red squirrels.
Three does, lots of squirrels and about 30 turkeys then a torrential downpour. Came home to get dried out and headed back to the woods.
Shot my first trad deer tonight, a 120 lb doe complete pass through, double lung with Black Widow, 2117 and old Green Bear Razorhead Jerry Barker gave me, she went 30 feet and died,I am still pumped!Shot her at 6:15 or so in Hubbardton, What a thrill! [bow is jerry's too], thanks Jerry!
COngrats!
Vermonster, thanks for the help too, you know which tree she was shot out of!
Sure looked like a great spot when you showed it to me.
Congrats Craig.
Way to go Craig~!! My guess is you will be pumped for a long, long time with the first under your belt.
Good luck to all you Green Mountain Boys/Girls!!
Good job Craig.
Well boys, scored tonight. Will report in the morning with a weight and a pic after I get checked in.
The old 30 something Bear grizzly needed some mojo before I get a new bow. She's still got plenty of zip for her age too.Put the razorhead right down into the dirt.
Way to go Rich, I'll be looking for the story!

Shot was about 10-12 yards, almost broadside.Arrow is 30" XX75 2213 with 185gr bear razorhead. She ran about 40 yards and started death rolling.Didn't even need to trail her, knew right where she was.
Two people I need to thank here, number one being my dad for the bow and the love of hunting(Bow pictured is my first bow,had it since I was 10) and Big Dave(Vermonster) for refining my shooting skills.
Congrats VTMN, what a thrill. Havent met you yet but we travel in the same circles, meet you soon.
