Title: Northern tier NY question
Post by: razorback on September 28, 2009, 01:32:00 PM
Well NY licenses go from Oct1 to Sept 30. Our deer season starts on the 27th. If i take a deer with my 09 license before the 30th, can I take another with my 2010 license during the rest of the season.

If u didn't take a deer last year then u can use the license end of day Wednesday then new license starts.  I was stationed at griffiss when it was open and actually took advantage of those  sep 27-30 days.

You need to use your 2008/2009 license.  In other words, the license you bought last year.  You can use your bow/muzzleloader tags as well as your regular season tag if you did not fill them last year.  You cannot use any DMP tags, though.

You need 2008/2009 tags for the remainder of the month.  All your leftover tags are valid except DMP's if you have any.  Your 2009/2010 tags are good from 10/1/09 through 9/30/10.

So the answer to your question is yes, as long as you shoot your deer on or after 10/1/09
