If I were to buy the leafy wear, should I get the hooded zip top and the pants with the leg zippers or just the reagular shirt and pants? and how good does this stuff work? is it purdy durable? It looks really good in the pics!! Thanks Jason
Jason ASAT IMO is the best!!!!! im serious i have never had game so close!!! I would get the shirt and pants because my buddy got the leafy suit and had to do alot of trimming so the string doesnt hit it.
Gotta set on the way. Leafy suit. Should be here Wednesday. Cant wait to try it out.
Where's the best place to get this stuff? Jason
Never mind, I found it!! DUH!! :knothead: Jason
Don't know about the hooded top, but pants with leg zippers are a great invention for hunters. I'd even pay extra for them...
I don't know about ASAT but am convinced through experience that leafy camo is the way to go. It breaks up your sillouette bettrer and animals tend to see you less when you have to move a little.JMHO

I have some leafy asat coming my way as well. I was going to get some pant/long sleeve short but was out & didn't exspect any more in untill Jan.
I've been wearing the same set for 20 years. I got the leaf ASAT twice. This last time with the leg zippers. I just put an armguard on my bow arm using elastic pants cuffs from a duck hunting store.
I have used ASAT leafy suit almost exclusively for about 10 years and swear by it, for all the reasons already listed. Just got a new suit this year and love the improvements - looser fit, better print job, & leg zippers. A little trimming on the bow arm sleeve and an arm guard and you are ready. I prefer the shirt with a separate headcover to one with a hood.
Wash it a couple times and toss in the dryer on low with some other clothes to soften the fabric up when you get it. It will quiet it down. A little trimming, no different than if you've used a ghillie suit, and you're in business.
Great camo, my son and I each have a set. I'll be getting my wife a set next.
how about some pix
Autumnarcher, Is it recomended to use scent control detergent when washing? Or just water alone. Not wanting to fade a new set right off the bat.
Are the pants six-pocket? I gotta have six pocket pants.
I would like to see some pics of the leafy set without the hood! if I go to the site I can't tell a thang from the picture! anybody have any pic's? Thank's for the replies, Jason
Wish could find ASAT in bucksuede
toddster,
Day One offers it in bucksuede.
he Vanish Pro 3D leafy suit is one model, a jacket, pants and a seperate hood. The pant legs now have zipper to put on over boots. There is no need to trim anything. Just wear an armgaurd over the sleeve.
I need to up my ground and tree stand game. The deer are getting better every year at picking off hunters on tree stands. This stuff looks good. Would this be a better system than predator camo particularly for tree hunting?
So the suit includes the jacket, pants, and hood? I couldn't tell that from their web site.
Where is the best place to buy this stuff (cheap) and are there a lot of options or patterns and materials to consider?
Is this a thin cover layer? If so how do the sizes work out?
The best place to buy it is right from ASAT! They have a money back guarantee that of you don't like it after 1 year they will buy it back.
The leafy suit is an over suit. You can wear it over your insulated coveralls in the winter or wear it over shorts and a t-short when it's hot out.
As far as sizes, I'm 5ft 8in and 190 lbs and wear a size 32 waist pant. The suit is a little baggy on me but I wanted to be able to wear winter clothes underneath. Warm climate hunters may want to get a suit that fits closer to their size cause you won't have as much clothes underneath.
These suits are tough as nails!!! The leafy material is stitched to a mesh material. I thought the mesh would tear as soon as something snagged it, but I've beat the tar out of the same suit for 4 years now and it's going to last MANY more. Been through many briar bushes and the like without incident.
I've tried Predator, Realtree, Mossy Oak, Sticks and Limbs, Trebark. ASAT whips em all especially when it comes to having spots with minimal cover.
Last year, I took this buck out of this tree. Not exactly a ton of cover,LOL!
