Title: Where to send a bow to be dipped?
Post by: Kenneth on September 24, 2009, 01:57:00 PM
Where do you guys send your bows to be dipped with camo?  I've looked at one place that does a water hydro something or another but it looked pretty shiny and reflective.  I'd like to get a flat/drab Predator or ASAT camo dip.

thanks,
Ken

Ken - Do you want me to send it directly to this place for dipping? It makes no difference to me. Let me know.

Rob, I'm gonna shoot it first and see how it likes me.  If we hit it off then I'm gonna have it dipped.  I do like the looks of the new X-200 over my older one but since the older was a gift from my Dad, I can't bring myself to alter it in any way.

Rob,  what's your draw length?  I'm pulling 27 1/2" and am wondering what spine arrows to get for the bow.

Hi Ken,

I draw 28" to 28.5" with most revurves. With the X200 not having a real high wrist grip I was probably right at 28" with it. I was shooting 30" 1916's with 125 points reasonably well from it but my 2016's with 165 grains up front flew very well. The 2016's are also 30" long. Hope this helps.

Rob

Yep, talked to Lonnie today.  Very nice guy as I'm sure most of you already know.  Thanks Lonnie!

Rob,  thanks for the info. It sounds like it'll spine about the same as my 50#
