A fox came in under my stand a couple of days ago. Tried to "video" it with my phone (took me about 30 seconds to get through the menus to get the video working). Of course I'm just holding the phone and panning around so the quality isn't very good. But it was fun anyway ...

I had one track me to my stand and put one paw up on the tree and look up at me. Neat video though.
Cool, don't you just love the way their tail floats behind them like a ballon?

I was set up on the ground and had a red fox walk in at about 20 steps. He walked in a circle just like a dog and layed down in the only spot of sunshine in the woods. Tucked his nose under his tail and napped for a half hour. My only regret is not getting a pic of that fox. Just too neat to watch him nap, then wake up stretch and then start to hunt off into the wind.

Neat, I haven't seen a fox in years, too many coyotes around here. Least that the reason I hear for the decline in fox.
Much enjoyed the fox vid. Don't remember ever seeing one in the wild. Thanks.
Two years ago I was on the ground and had one 15-20 steps away looking for field mice.
Ceb,
You are right-ole red fox is in decline cause of Wil. E. Coyote.
I can remember a time when a man would kill a fox-especially with chickens or ducks around.
Now I just watch them when I get lucky enough to spot'em. Yes, coyotes have taken thier toll on foxes sure enough.
