Title: ASAT
Post by: mscampbell75 on September 23, 2009, 07:24:00 PM
Seem ASAT would be ok for warm weather, just shorts and t-shirt.  Anyone wear ASAT over their insulated clothing for the colder hunts? Is there plenty of room for the bulkier insulated clothing?

Just wondering if it would be the one stop shop for camo all season long?

Call Gary at Day One Camouflage. Offers ASAT in both uninsulated and insulated products. Quality clothing all the way. Best I've seen and used.

Day One Camo ASAT is great. I like the longsleeve shirts with built in binocs pocket.

Take a look at firstlite wool also.  They have added some more "stuff" to their product line.

I wear ASAT Ultimate over my briar resistant  clothes and heavier wool clothes when it gets cold.  It works.  I can just pack it in and put it on.  I hate to wear camouflage during the trip back home if I leave the woods for lunch.

I'm assuming you are talking about the ASAT 3-D suit. Yes I wear mine on top of light thermal clothing, right up to the time I have to use my heavy bibs and coat, then it's to bulky to fit over. I can just keep a black pair of sweatpants and hoodie in my totebox with the 3-D suit and scent free wipes and i'm hunting right after leaving the jobsite!

The bow shop back home had some for the first time this year...I was surprised and pleased.  I plan on getting some lighter weight stuff for now and heavier down the road.  I have good cold weather camo right now but could use better warm weather gear.  They have a good button down shirt and BDU style pants I'm looking at.  That will a long sleeve shirt will be good.  I plan on walking cornfields this year since it will be up for a long time (corn is going to be late), I'll disappear in there with that camo on.

I'm looking at getting some when I go back that way for the opener.

You can wear the leafy suit over ANYTHING.  I can layer under it (non camo!) AND I've worn it over shorts and a T in warm weather.

yeah, talking about the 3-d.  Just wonder if in would fit over bib coveralls and a thick jack for the colder hunts.

I have some Day One in wool with windblock.  I sold my SI and Kom.  The stuff is unreal and less than half the price.  Gary is hard to get a hold of during "Trade Show" season, but the service is top notch when he is back in the shop.  He definitely has a repeat customer and a good reference with me.  JD

the Vanish Pro 3D suit by ASAT works over every type of clothes. I've worn it over wool in winter, rain gear, and shorts and a t-shirt. Best camo leafy over suit you can get.

Thanks guys, I am in the need for camo insulated bib coveralls.  I had a pair in mind, but then came accross ASAT in a search for camo colors.  Got me to thinking, yeah I know that a stretch for me, but these thing really do seem to be best of both worlds.  Shorts and t's under during warm weather, which would be Sept-mid Oct, pants and maybe a light jacket from mid Oct-mid Nov, then Bibs and heavy jacket for the rest of deer season here in NC (Jan 1).

I will give them a call to make sure get the correct size.

Thanks guys for the replys.

The suits are build large and extra roomy on purpose to fit over clothes.
