So what do the guys of trad gang think of bug suits. Was on the Eastern shore of Maryland on the 15th of Sept and the Mosquitoes tore me up. :knothead:

Shannons Bug Suit. Gotta get one.
-
good suit plus a thermocell work here in Florida.
-
Shannon Bug suit all the way. Spend the extra and get the leafy one, deer will crawl all over you and never know your there.
-
Another vote for the Shannons Bug Suit.

Make that another vote on Shannons Bug Suit. I wouldn't hunt spring gobbler or early deer season without one.

I bought the wally-world leafy bug suit a few years ago, and it worked wonders it's first season. The second year the mosquitos tore my rear end off. I still use it for camo (it's great to hunt in shorts and a sleeveless t-shirt in 80 degree Texas Octobers), but I have to carry my thermocell with me.

I hunt swamps almost exclusively since I am stationed at Camp Lejeune and I was stationed in SC prior to that. Wearing a bug suit jacket is almost as important as remembering to bring my bow. I have the leafy one but I cut all of the leaves off of my bow arm.
Someone gave me the advice during the early season to get it soaking wet with water and wear it bare-chested while in your treestand. In theory the evaporating water would make you feel cooler in your stand. I actually tried this once and the suit made me itch more than most mosquitos could... I now wear it only how it was intended to be worn (lol)
