Just got back last night from my Wyoming hunt. The deer was tough but (http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac73/mikeyancey/o9antelope2-1.jpg) the antelope was great.
I took this buck with a new osage bow I built for the hunt, backed with sinew and antelope rawhide and the new abowyer antelope head. Both worked great.

WAY TO GO MIKE!
(anin't that just like you, always killing pope and youngers) good job, I am happy for you.
Congrats again Mike  :clapper: look at that smile.
I hope Jerry connects with his bow also.
Tracy
congrats Mike. Nice goat.
A fine looking speed goat...congrats
Very nice!!!
Yep, I'll have to keep an eye out on the P&Y page again for that one. Those Popers are getting too easy for you Mike...you're going to have to hold out for 80 inchers pretty soon ;)
Well done.
Consistent success...
"Great Job!" to a fine hunter!
way to go, Mike :notworthy:
Steve O, that was my plan for this year. To hunt a week in August for antelope and a week in Sep. for deer and hold out for an 80 incher, but I had to change plans and do both in Sep. I have one antelope that almost made 80'' so now I guess I will have to go back in August next wear and try again before I go to the Yellowstone area for elk next September.
Mike
Sounds like an awesome plan...
We are going to put in for points and draw a nice DIY area in a couple years.
Wonderful pictures,great harvest!! Congrats!
Steve, I have 1 point now and will apply in Jan. for the elk tag. The hunt I have booked is with an outfitter in a wilderness area that requires an outfitter. I should have no problem drawing a tag for archery in that area with the point I have and an outfitter.
The antelope I do myself on a great ranch that is one of the neatest places on earth. It is so hard to go from that 75'' to 80'' and tell the difference for me anyway once one above 72 comes in and offers me a shot its hard for me to pass.I guess I am goint to get tough and start passing up the smaller ones, I love it don't you?
Mike
Awesome mike congratulations
Lookin good Mikey!! Man!! the family is going to get tired of eating Antelope. You'll have to add some white tail to the freezer. ;)
Great job, Mike, and beautiful pictures!
Hey Dano,
These short sinew backed bows are the deal. The only thing is the up and down in weight with the temp. and humidity changes.
Mike
I hear ya Mike, you know a guy could cut 2 sets of string knocks to compensate for that, kinda high tech huh.
Nice goat ... great pictures ! Congrats
Very nice Mike!
Beautiful buck, Mike congratulations. :clapper:
Nice goat and super nice bow!! Congrats!
Kevin,
How are you and the new bow getting along?
Mike

Congratulations!!! What a beautiful pronghorn!
The pic is perfect.
Congrats
nice goat and a great looking bow
As always, a beautiful goat and beautiful bow.
Congrats Mike...looks like a new avatar!!
Mike,
That is very shrewd draw strategy you have there!
I agree completely with you on antelope...it is a super fun hunt that can be as challenging as you make it. I think they would be perfect for the PBS youth hunt; I am going to start putting the bug into the ear of the council ;)
I think getting a B&C caliber Pronghorn with a stickbow may be the toughest challenge out there!
Dang fine Trophy Mike!!!
Congrats Mike!! Nice goat, bow, pic,the whole package!!
Kudos Mike! Glad to see the new osage bow worked out. Keep that bar set high with a selfbow bro.
Top class, Mike! Congratulations!
