Wasn't sure I wanted to hunt this early... but decided to go out this evening. WV has a one week antlerless bow season this week, muzzleloader next week in order to thin the herd.
Well... I did my part tonight!
20 yard shot and a 30 yard recovery. She is already quartered and in the cooler.
Bob Anderson 60" Zipper (55@28), Trad Only carbons and 125 grain WW.
Still fun after all these years! :D

Making me miss being back home. Good job on the doe!
Way to go Wayne. An old, long headed doe like that has been around a long time, and they are as hard to kill as most trophy bucks.

Good job, buddy. two weeks from tomorrow is our opening day.
It's great when a good shot leads to a short blood trail!
That's what we all look for and glad to see you have a great season start doing just that.
Congrats!!! That is a nice big doe there. Way to go.
Thanks for all the good comments and congrats!
Now I will be preparing for the regular season opener on Oct. 17th. Setting stands, checking my cameras, etc.

Muzzleloader in September? Who'da thunk it?
You are too far away to be chasing the deer into Virginia, but I hope I get some October action like that on our side of the line!
